However, it would be helpful if you could provide brief to the terms and terminologies used related to mutual fund like that of profile rating, scores, etc. Before validating them, we should have an idea about them too. Thank you for bringing out such videos, it is quite helpful for people like me. Keep posting :)

All in all good video... Just last part with suggesting Gilt funds are safest doesn't give the clear picture. Gilt funds can also give negative returns in cumulative weeks, months sometimes. It all depends on the interest rate scenario in the market. New investors can get confused on negative returns with debt funds. Please give clear picture before making a suggestion.

It was really good. I want to know more about YTM and modified duration. In general, what i want to understand is can the debt fund returns be predicable like a FD? Also, when should you invest in short term or medium term since interest rates going up or down is a factor as well. which did not talk about.

Debt funds are somewhat predictable but there can be some small changes and interest rate and bond price relationship is again too big to explain. Maybe one more video?

Now a days you dont need minimum Rs 10 lakhs to invest in Bonds. One can invest in Government Bonds through RBI retail platform and the amount may start from perhaps Rs 1000/- . Those Bonds are available to retail investors and also can be traded in secondary market through the same platform.

Hey, It is better to have multiple asset classes due to their strengths. However, like you said, in the long term aren't all investments good? Well, that is an educated guess - But what if some disaster or calamity occurs? We are basically just being more safer by diversifying our investments :)

You can invest in companies that have high government stake. Search for President of India's portfolio and you will find such companies. But at the same time, isn't investing in any company that's bringing a positive change in the economy also patriotic in its own way?
