thanks for the review. this bag is exactly fit the urban lifestyle of Japan I experience. I‘d buy one for Japan travel. Wear the backpack(housing a camera kit) & the ‘transformed’ clutch (those cards for subway, credit card) together for city walk. The day I come back from Osaka April 12 I was feed Harvest Label adv. Otherwise I should buy one in Osaka.

I would have loved to have been a Japanese school kid with a randoseru backpack. A top of the range bag made of horsehide. Never mind the school years it would outlast your lifetime or even western civilisation. If you were hit by a bus you might be dead but the bag and it’s contents would be fine with a wipe down from a damp rag. I would like to see a review of a randoseru but they are probably too expensive and not in your wheelhouse.

This is a very unique bag and I enjoyed the review. I would probably stop and ask about the bag if I say someone with it. For myself personally, I rather the spend the money and build my own Greenroom Bag (still figuring out colours). I do like all the pockets!

I think there is a trade off... Modern mid-market brands like Aer or Evergoods try to conceal every single pocket, but by doing that you are eliminating the useful capacity. Brands in 2000s focus far more on building pockets outside (see Tumi Alpha Series), but as we all know, it damages the aesthetics of the bag and gives you that 'dad' s bag' vibe.
