Besides the physics, I loved this show, especially for 2 badass characters Saeko for taking on the dead without fear, and living for the kill, and Kohta, mainly due to how I found myself to be similar as him in my high school days. A fat loner who was bullied with great firearm accuracy. If this shows zombie virus was like Dead island’s, I’d be thriving.

I Freaking LOVE Highschool of the Dead, it's the perfect combo of zombie movie tropes and highschool harem tropes. With just the right mixture of comedy and over the top jiggle physics to make one hell of a Gory fun watch that can be revisited multiple times without getting too dull. It's a bummer that the author died and we'll never get a proper ending, but it is what it is.

This is gonna sound like the "I watch it for the plot" defense but I genuinely love this show and how realistically it handles the plot and characters, even the characters I dislike (Rei) I dislike not because they're bad characters but they're good at being the type of person I just don't like. Not to mention the action scenes are fun as shit. Also, the guy that made the Dub for Ghost Stories made the Dub for Highschool of the Dead and you can definitely see his style of dubbing when you watch the dub.
