I used to throw Jitterbugs a lot in the 70s. I've done that bent lip mod myself. Think I learned that in Bassmaster magazine.

You quite possibly seen it in an article about None other than Mr. LJ Brasher, In Bass Master Magazine. There were two separate issues in 1980 which featured articles on Brasher and his Methods for targeting Trophy Class Bass. Both articles Were written by Mr. John E. Phillips.

Dude! Awesome man, your tackle box looks just like mine-all black jitterbugs!! I live in northeastern Wyoming right on the edge of the Beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, and I LOVE night jitterbug fishing! 5/8oz Jointed Jitterbug in Black is the best, and funnest, lure of all time my friend.

Nat caught four in three hours on the local flow that would has EASALY went 26-27 and then lost a six plus at the canoe cause dad panicked...………...all on black, frog, and perch. That lure is so underestimated it's good. He did it on 8 pound test and spinning gear………..cause he's a chip off the old block. He was about 8 years old that day.

Question, have you ever experimented with fishing the jitter bug without the blade?

I fish bass in sonora Mexico. It's difficult, because I fish them in irrigation canals. But when my brother gave me the white belly jitterbug, everything just got easier. In the afternoons, it is a threat.
