We'll never see another heavyweight with the fast/explosive hands of Tyson. He had the fast twitching muscles that granted him insane reflexes. The guy threw combos like he was a welter-weight. I was fortunate to have seen him in person a few times and he was electric. I was 15 rows up and you could still hear the thudding shots. He's the closest thing I've seen to a pitbull in the ring. He could have been the greatest but his lack of discipline and out of ring bad habits cost him dearly.

Ike Ibeabuchi would have been the next Tyson. He was strong as an ox and lightning fast. Too bad his career was derailed at its peak. I always wondered if he was set up by some powerful mob boss. He was charged with "attempted rape" which is questionable coming from a call girl who came to his hotel room in the middle of the night. If Ike had wanted to rape her, there wouldn't have been a damned thing she could have done to stop him. That's why the charges are very suspect in my view. Many people don't know that mike modeled his himself after the great Jack Dempsey. Mike wore the same type of black shoes and trunks and even the same haircut as the "Manassa Mauler" Jack Dempsey. Dempsey popularized the sport with his ferocious pace of relentless pressure on his opponents. Tyson's coach Mr. D'amato was the trainer for Floyd Patterson. Patterson invented the peek-a-boo style of defense and D'amato streamlined it. Tyson was taught the Peek-a-boo style from D'amato and he took off like a rocket.

He took 5meoDMT which is collected from a specific road gland and administered by a shaman in South America. It's even extremely more potent than even normal dmt that most people take. You can find clips of him explaining his experience but it literally changed his life.

In his old training video, he practiced hitting the body right before hitting the head. The body shot knocks the wind out of them so they can't breathe, and then he hits them in the head to while the oxygen can't get to the brain so they get knocked out.

Marciano no doubt top 3 but Tyson took alot of inspiration from Jack Dempsey as he's said in alot of interviews

Mike was truly frightening. It always seemed to me like he zeroed in on the weakest parts of the anatomy, the sides below the ribs, where the muscle is thinnest, and the mouth. Hitting people on the side/top of the skull, even around the eyes, the skeleton is very protective, but the jaw is loose and bends in ways that are bad for the neck and brain when struck with force.

Rocky’s record was 49 wins 43 knock outs and zero losses. He was 5’10” and 188 lbs. he was beating bigger men. If you want other fighters to watch let me know.

He's positioning himself for maximum torque as he moves in. The footwork is the thing, and it required intensive training by some boxing experts. These are not arm punches, to the contrary, his entire body is in position and his hip's are open. Cus D'Amato and Kevin Rooney had him living with them, at the boxing camp in Catskill, NY as a youngster when Tyson, was a juvenile ward of the state.

I like that way of thinking. Your losses don’t make you not a great fighter. It’s a fighter that had 40 wins and loss his 41 fight. But he won his next 75 in a row!

100% is 100%. Can’t really compare across eras like that, but Floyd is arguably the greatest defensive fighter in history, can’t help but laugh when people disrespect his game

Couldn't say who was the best boxer - but Ali's power transcended the ring. He didn't just change boxing. He changed the world. 'Nuff said.

And Tyson took boxing to it's highest and was as influential in the 80/90's especially when he married gibbons, then we all heard him talk lol I remember in living color joking him with Keenan ivory playing him but Ali an Tyson are 1a&1b for 2 reasons in alis era there wasn't a single boxer with his combined speed an power they had 1 or the other back then foreman had power,Louis/Liston,hagler had speed Tyson had both and his power is tops all time period,2nd most of Tyson's opponents had 3-6 inches on him along with reach and he took them down(except Lennox) he woulda in his prime but watch Ali vs foreman he took a pounding from foreman but Ali won by being quicker foreman at peak is probably 80 % Tyson's power and watch Ali vs Liston Liston was quicker more rapid punches but had no power now watch Tyson vs Stubb's/foreman and watch Tyson vs Gordo from Russia he was alis mirror image in height an weight and Tyson destroyed him we can't take Riddick bowe(fixed fight) or first 3 after 5yrs in prison but he almost beat holy field first time and took evansers ear as a dq in 2nd he won a couple no name fights and then lewis which I feel Tyson took as just a payday not a fight

Oscar De LaHoya is one of the all time greats…he was technically maybe the best…his left hook was legendary, and he had a draw with Floyd that he was robbed off

A perfect record doesn't mean you are the best it just means you picked your opponents carefully.

What makes Tyson such a great boxer, is his speed, equal power with both hands, his ability to avoid being hit by his opponent while boxing on the inside, and his ability to land a punch while on the move, so when his opponent goes to punch him back, Tyson is already gone.
