So far my Little Giant ladder works great! I don’t have a truck, but I do have a bigger car and the ladder fits in perfectly. It unfolds and extends up to 18ft but is only a little over 5ft when stored.

What size is that Werner extension ladder?
@ryanlyke94472 жыл бұрын
Don't wanna stack on, but I recently switched to WFP thanks to Steveo a few years ago. IMO, sectional ladders are the best way to go. When I got started, they were cheap and fit in my Crown Victoria. Big, extension ladders can't go inside a home which is why I defer to sectionals. I have an outdoor and an inside friendly base.

Agree about getting on or off the roof.. I find getting on the roof easy, but getting back down and having to go around the left or right is so scary and dangerous for me. I'm sure people who do it daily are fine with it, but for me.. I sometimes feel like I'm going to get stuck up there.

do you prefer ladders or polls for second story cleaning? One ladder option that i find useful and often overlooked is a half extension ladder. I like half of a 32 ft (two 16 ft single pieces). I dont put it back together unless you really need to. you also get two simultaneous ladders for a larger crew, or spilt the cost with someone. the 16 ft is easy to move. the 32, not so much)

Years ago when I was window cleaning, I had two ladders. A 17-28', and 7-14' point, that I made myself because they are no longer available here in Oz. I used to only use the 7' point, indoors, and on most external work. But the way guys get so 'scientific' about it all, I wonder how they've got time to do any work. Anyway, right now, I'm 73, and on the cusp of being homeless. So I'm making another 7-14' point, and am going out door knocking/advertising somehow to make $20K to buy a camper trailer, and recondition the engine on my old car so it can pull the trailer. Wish me luck, guys!

The new 22 little giant with built in ratchet leg leveller is lighter than the original. 2. One ladder does what his 4 does. 3. On uneven ground very quick to shore up. 4 won't tip tilt in 30 mile an hour wind. Can be windy between houses that are close together. 5. Using one do it all ladder around the house beats loading and unloading and lugging around 2 or more. Downside. You have to familize yourself using the ladder. Takes about a week. 2. Not great for indoor use. 3. Is a bit heavier but better when windy. For inside I use a Telestep 14.5 foot with leg leveler for stairwells. Folds to 30 inches, easy set up. And 3 foot step for lower windows. The Werner standoff works on the little giant and kicks you off the building for a natural working distance. I see he uses it too. Many don't because they haven't tried it.

Hi Steveo and all the community, I am a newbie. I have been working as a subcontractor for a WC company In south florida. I have a hyundai sedan car so I have no space for a ladder. I can’t get a van at the moment so I was wondering if it's possible to put a rack on the roof of my car and get an extension ladder not sure if it will be to big for a sedan car?. If that’s possible what extension ladder size will reach second story house windows? I look at the sizes but is very confusing I was going to get a 20 fit one but not sure if that’s enough. The little giant l(multi position) ladder it’s smaller and might feet in my car but seems so bulky/heavy and not the most easy to work when moving from window to window. Any recommendation on size would be great. Btw My buddy has a 26 little giant nad I have a hard time moving it, it’s way to bulky and heavy for me Thank you, Jere

SteveO The Window Cleaner No offense taken. I hate it too, just because it’s heavy. I have to use it because of some house designs and convenience.
