Awesome stuff coach! The only thing I would suggest is to line the offense up from the middle cones and not the sideline. Like spot the ball next to cones. More game like and better visual for us here also. So left side of offense just left of the cones. Right side just right of the cones. Sidelines are still the sidelines.

Just to answer a few questions. One of the reasons we have it on opposite end of the field is that we also use this drill as partly conditioning. There’s only a few guys standing around watching, and they’re usually getting a breath, because as soon as we sprint over to the other side of the field after the four downs they’re jumping in and the other guys are jumping out. It’s really fast pace. The guys aren’t standing around long. We have other drills for running backside plays like traps and such. This one isn’t made for that though. Playbook coming out soon.

What program are you drawing plays on?

I like the half line drill and your explanations are on point. You mentioned in your video that trap doesn't work well. Do you practice at all the plays that require backside players this way?

I just use this drill to work on a few plays that are direct to one side. Nothing that takes the backside lineman. We Will do full team sometimes, and just put bodies in but this is more to work a real dynamic team one defense against a team one offense.

What do you do with the kids that aren’t apart of the drill? Run different drills with them?

I usually only have a handful of guys waiting outside the drill and we pepper them in pretty regular.
