Great showcase Aza. recently I've been running dungeons for the new books (1:500 odds) and it turns out that there is a ton of Hexolite and a good handful of Chromite spawns in the dungeons. The rooms are static so once you figure out your way around its just as fast or faster than doing the alpha caves on the overworld. Honestly there is so much of it that I've turned down my item weight so i could make it all the way to the end of the run. That chromite base is great, the nodes respawn at dawn so you can hit it up every day. Best yet, you can put a summoning alter in there and the adds that the boss spawns will get teleported up to the surface so you can do add free Xeno farming. For your Hexolite base, I've converted mine into a skillfruit orchard. You just need watering pals and Lullu and you can farm up hundreds of skillfruits. I ended up getting the new Holy Burst skillfruit when i was growing Air Blade so now I've got enough to give Holy Burst to everyone.

I put a pal expedition center in it! 😆 I don't get the Chromite in dungeons because with my level 3 Smokie, I get more than I can carry with just one node and dogen doesn't work in there lol Maybe I'll have Donk change the server settings a little if possible.

How many do you get when you plant a skill fruit for example does the skill fruit you plant only come out the same one if you know what I mean

@@JeannetteWheeldon I'm not 100% what the stats are, but you minimum get two of the fruit you planted back. the third slot is random, but it feels like 20% nothing, 40% a third of the one that was planted, and 40% one rolled from a list of fruits that match the planted fruit type. I was doing my Air Blade multiplication and picked up the Holy Burst fruit after about 50 fruit.

One thing i don't like is that the toolbox, axe and stump, etc are now locked behind research. Im glad i played before the update and unlocked them for nothing more thqn the tech points.

@VampiricFox37 OMG, me too! It wasn't until I gave up my private save and went to our dedicated server and actually started new that I even tried the research station. I didn't think I needed it in the old save because everything was unlocked. Now I see how much it can do and wish I'd done it in that save lol

I also recommend Tarantriss for dungeon runs. She makes it easy to get around quickly while overweight with ore. A big improvement over the Grapple gun.

She has 3x drop rate on. Normal settings give 50 ore, of up to 150 for a max level Smokie.

Smokie's area of discovery is alot bigger then the metal detector. And how do you fly there i keep getting shot down!

@joopbarelds3656 Smokie may have a large area, but the delay and lack of control of where he goes make him more difficult to use. And it's like a giant oil rig. Just destroy the anti air turrets. They've never come back, and I took them out when I was still on a faleris 😆

@@rubrawolf If you "destroy" them, I'm pretty sure they respawn. You have to "hack" them, just like on the oil platforms. It's easiest to catch a Starryon and do it at night, thanks to the speed boost Starryon receives at night and the fact that it's not considered a "flying" pal. I've messed around with some different rideable pals, and pretty much anything with the ability to actually fly (simply having wings doesn't count) will get shot down. Even if you're not flying and are just zooming along the ground. I was completely stumped to find out that Shadowbeak is considered a flying pal, when it moves faster on land than in the air. It also wanders around on all four legs instead of gliding (looking at you, Jetragon), but still gets shot down on Feybreak until you remove the turrets.

Chromite is actually a *lot* easier to get than Hexolite: just send out expeditions. I've got about 2000 chromite, but no hexolite to go with it, all from doing expeditions. The same expedition that gives chromite also gives Exotic spheres, so no worries about making those either. Edit: the nightstar sand can spawn in the main islands at nighttime, too.

I did say that there was Nightstar Sand in the Dessicated Desert. I consider hexalite quartz easier to get because I have a continuous supply with no effort on my part, other than keeping a feed bin full. Technically, even less effort than the expedition station, and it only uses 2-3 pals instead of 100 for an expedition.
