Do you think the 9 inch is the way to go for your first set? Or do you regret buying 9 inch before 7s?
@bigpicturethinking5620

@@PK-zf9wm So I actually bought the 7inch ones shortly after I left my comment. For my preference if I could only have 1 it would be the 9inch and I would buy it first again. I suppose it depends on your intended use, but I have other pliers that could manage what the smaller ones do but none that could match the larger pair. And I have an obscene collection of pliers for a DIY guy.

After years of not innovating, it’s really nice to see him come out with something like this. I love my pair ironically use them for pulling fuses today and then I saw the video afterwards. Good for pulling. I’m not so good. Putting them back in.

I do believe that Snap-on is one of the highest quality of tools out there. And a purchaser will pay for a quality tool that will last for a while. But as a simple DIYer. I can’t afford it. For a professional working in the automotive industry, they could probably afford them and it would be used throughout the mechanics career. But I can’t justify for myself the cost. If I had the resources to purchase Snap-on, I probably would. However, I’m sure these pliers are of the highest quality. Thank you for sharing 😊

4:45: "I thought that was a marketing gimmick at first". Uhhh. Yeah, man. It is. lol. KZbin user DIY Diesel released a video where he does the coin test literally with a 8 dollar pair of Pittsburgh needle nose from Harbor Freight. lol. Those Snap-On pliers are worth every single penny. But they are not unique in gripping precision as is evident by DIY Diesel's video. It's their pattern of tooth design on the inside gripping that's worth marketing, not the fact they can pick up a coin. lul. Anyway, good video. Keep up the good work. You've got a new subscriber. The video I'm talking about is titled "ICON Pliers (Coin Test) Will They Perform Like Snap-On Pliers??? (Suggested to Buy Snap-On LN47ACF)"

Needed a better long nose, bought the 4" & 7"; wasn't impressed out of the box fit/finish vs like a Knipex, didn't see the add'l value until I started using them... 🤯I genuinely hate how much better they grip and am mad at myself for not trying them sooner. I think for me, the 6" needle nose talon grip will be the goldy-locks tool for the task... [clicking add to cart]

I really like the shorter ones but I’ve yet to find my local snap on truck! I assume HF is only making the longer ones just like they did with the knipex pliers wrench icon 10 inch version. Once HF makes the 4 inch cobras and pliers wrench, they’ll probably take a lot of sales there.

I was looking at getting both the 9 and 7 inch versions and looking on Snap on website I noticed they didn't give a price or availability on the site for the 7 inch but a note to contact your dealer. Now sevthe red 7 inch only on the website. Seeing the play or mis-alignmen of the 7 inch on your video wonder if they have a manufacturing problem/ , Quality control issue

Its a decent plier, but I honestly grab some no names I use just as often. The coin grab trick to me is just a trick, do not think I have had anything to were these will magically hold and others won't. Just because its usually already to heavy or stuck somewhere I cannot get that angle to do so. Fit and finish, yea its usual snap on, pretty dam good for a pair of pliers, and instant pitting even doing oil rub downs after use.
@projectpinehills
@projectpinehills Жыл бұрын

@@projectpinehills It does do a good job at that extra grip under other circumstances. I have a few from knipex and vamplier. I think our of the slip joint style it's my favorite because of the 3 positions instead of the usual 2.
