Thank you Phil. And yes, they do seem to have quite a lot of interesting releases. Some very specific and some not. Like the dead.. refusing to stay in the grave crusaders could be played in any game requiring a historic monster.

A blow dryer works well to help release the supports from your print. No hot water rinse needed and you can avoid the need to responsibly dispose of the water...which would otherwise be contaminated with remaining resin.

I love your theoretical explanations of why you choose your colors instead of a binary tutorial. Every video you make gives me insane inspiration to just slap colors on a model, see what I get and repaint it if I don't like it. It's very much removed my ego and hesitation as a painter. I've fallen in love with the process, and less so the results.

I have one safety tip about resin handling that I think may have been overlooked: You really shouldn't handle uncured prints with your bare hands at all until they've been fully cured, even if they've been washed heavily prior to support removal. Otherwise, your work is excellent, and I appreciate how informative this video is.

Love it. Thank you for sharing. The first miniature is just amazing and I love the variety you brought in with your paint job! The dead templars are really cool too, especially given the time it took you to paint, and your son did a superb job 👏. It is great to see you experiment with different types of paint and different approaches. Finally, I like the fact you use PPE while 3d printing, many youtubers don't seem to do it and it sends the wrong message.

Hi Alex, once again, thank you for your immersive, wonderful video, the minis are stunning , and your paint job is amazing, I found you think just like me about undead, they're not clean, not shiny, the old bones are brown, dirty, green or black with moss, you did again a job that I'll think about when I'll paint my next undead minis, and when you talked about having a undead creature at the door you made me think of H.P. Lovecraft "The thing on the doorstep", so thanks again for sharing your experiences with us

Sometimes I find the idea of painting something overwhelming, especially when it's a lot of random junk mooshed together. Watching you start to paint that first corpse made me feel that, and I wasn't even the one painting it. If I was painting this I'd have to start by painting the whole thing as dead flesh and then start picking out individual details until I was done. With a really big brush, too.

How did you like the Scale Color oil paints? I’ve been looking into buying some oil paints to really experiment with that aspect of miniature painting after the many awesome works you make with oil paint.
@52Miniatures2 жыл бұрын
They seem fine. Admittedly different from artist line oil paint. The main difference I’d say is that all of the ones I tried are mixed pigments made to cover. Artist paints can have pigments that are more transparent, great for some things. These all seemed very opaque. This on the other hand can be a good thing. With artist single pigment paints, one usually has to mix things to get a covering paint.
