Randy I modified one of my squarebill crankbaits like that after I saw you do it a couple years ago. It’s really gotten beat up from the smallmouth but it seems like the worse it looks the better it works!

Great advice as usual! You bring up a question I've had for decades! Does the flavor of fresh paint, nail polish, etc., have any bearing on the bite? Also, does scent transfer from our hands while handling random stuff effecting the bite as well? How might this vary when comparing hard baits vs soft plastics? Sounds like a really good video to me! Whenever I search the almighty internet, the big dubya dubya dubya, about these scent related questions I don't get the answers I'm looking for.

I use scent on all my baits . Shot of Bang spray on hard baits and Bait fuel on my plastics . Definatly makes a difference 👍

Anyone that defends LIVE FFS , are the fishermen that would feel irrelevant without it, and don’t understand what bass fishing is all about…They also are oblivious to how scoping is ruining bass fishing… . I modify almost every hard bait i use, even if it’s only changing the hooks. However 80% of the bass fisherman would not think of this unless someone showed them…. If scopers knew how ridiculous they look using LFFS to real bass fishermen, they would br ashamed to do it. However you got people out here now that would fish with Dynamite, if it was made legal….

I'm a smoker. I've been told for years, fish derect that. Yet a semi-pro fisherman is using spray paint, and fingernail polish! Yet, they don't care about about that chemical smell! I have also seen people turn Pokémon into lures thst work. So I'm gonna call BS on most of the "Pro" info regarding scent. As well as fish are "smart"! No they are not, just find the fucking trigger! They can be full, and STILL strike!
