I walked into a Louis Vuitton store once after going to the gym to buy my then fiancé a nice wallet to replace his old Louis Vuitton wallet as a wedding gift. I asked to see wallets and the guy at the counter showed me card clips . I said ‘ No wallets’, then he showed me a tiny coin holder. Ugh, “No, a real wallet please”. Then he made me stand there and wait forever. After I paid he apologized for the wait, but still, I felt judged because I was wearing my gym clothes, never mind the fact that I was a member of a ‘luxury gym’ at the time. Anyway, I’ve had a deterrence to Louis Vuitton ever since. I thought they were supposed to make you feel good about yourself, not treat you like a peasant if you walk in not wearing the right clothes.

It's so hard not to do some type of profiling. I work as a check-in agent for a US airline at a Spanish airport and there's not a single day that I don't think "there's no way this passenger is flying in business class or has a high loyalty status" when I see some of them stand in the priority lane. Some people are definitely very lowkey. You never know and therefore can never really assume anything about someone, even though as humans we tend to naturally have an opinion on someone based on his appearance. However, I think the SA was pretty unprofessional because he should have distanced himself from his judgement and at least show you what you were asking for...

I am so sorry you had to deal with that especially after multiple corrections. I’ve had a really similar experience with a different product, it really did make me feel like I was an inch tall. I ended up stopping myself from letting it make me feel that way for too long and thought “why the hell am I allowing someone to treat me this way” this man was giving me so much condescension and attitude for a dude who couldn’t tie a simple Windsor Knot when it’s part of his uniform, I was almost leaving but instead told him I would keep browsing and a lovely young woman approached me from the store who was more than happy to assist me, hell I probably ended up spending at least double than I had intended to simply because of the difference she made to my day, we ended up laughing and it turned everything around and I did enquire if company policy was store & shift shared commission casually and she let more know it is not. Win-win for my petty ass 😂 Chelsea wherever you are, thank you!

I strongly doubt it was your clothes. I think it was more like what he wanted to sell. Rich people dress casually all of the time. And actually someone wearing all logos usually looks tacky or trying to hard. So I wouldn't take it personally.

Please. I ended up in horrible debt because of “spoiling” myself with luxury items I couldn’t afford. I told myself the designer bags were an investment, that I deserved the beautiful jewellery. But having to eventually face up to the financial mess I’d got myself in was no joke. So if you can afford the Louis and the Cartier, go for it - why not? But only if you’re sure you can pay the bill.

I have a lot of yellow gold Tiffany pieces like their Hardware collection and Tiffany Smile necklaces. My first Tiffany gift from my husband was a pair of yellow gold dangle earrings they no longer make (but did make for years). I love them so much! He also gave me a gold bangle bracelet studded with diamonds from Tiffany’s. Now we’ve moved on to Harry Winston and that has been more platinum and white gold.

(And if you don't want to pay the designer price, Dossier's Ambery Saffron is an exact dupe 😊) And I bought the LV Kirigami set and it's been one of the best investments next to the 6 key ring holder! Just bought the Dyson air wrap today - on sale. Yay! Was reluctant as have just above the shoulder hair but seen lots of videos of people using it on short hair so excited to try it. Try Chanel’s Cocoa Mademoiselle. Much nicer than No. 5. Always complimented when I wear it & last for ages too - smell it on my bra days later when I do the washing.
