I know our reputation from start of season is tarnished to shit, but as a Resto Druid, I am slapping right now. Ramping to 2m hps when needed, and doing massive 800k-1m single target burst dps. Not to mention we bring MoTW, Poison dispel, curse dispel and CC.

Holy Priest enjoyer here currently doing 12s, but as disc Personally, I enjoy Circle of Healing and Prayer of Healing gameplay, but the numbers aren't there. Need those to be buffed, but what could make it more interesting is if Lightweaver could make it so that, similar to how Flash Heal buffs Heal, can make it so that Circle of Healing buffs Prayer of Healing in some way. Or Make it so that Flash Heal also buffs Prayer of Healing. Idk, feels like there are so many ways to do this, but really surprised there hasn't been any updates.

Very much agree here. That they didn't do something to balance PoH and CoH outside of raid (since we don't have "free" damage or healing) and put it on more abilities (R Shaman has a bunch of talents referencing Chain Heal) is frustrating. As another commenter pointed out, City of Threads, and StoneVault, are just significantly harder than higher level keys because of this whack-a-mole we're forced into. And I don't mind being stationary, I think that is "classic" and basic... but if we're stationary, our spells should hit hard. And having to use a bunch of emergency CDs to stabilize people then Lightweave everyone up just doesn't feel good. At least if it were Lightweaving + Divine Word: Sanctify'ing PoH that would be more in keeping with our spec description. I don't have the level of optimism that MadSkillz does of us getting buffed. We've been ignored for so long, we have the oldest talent tree, 9 2-point nodes... if ANYTHING, it's looking like 11.1, but I'm not optimistic. Kind of sucks to go the whole season with everyone else* (healers) getting some kind of attention, though.

I wouldn't consider myself the highest end hpal. I'm 2700 io and focus mostly on doing my 10s, but holy paladin ligtsmith AC is so fun to play and the drawbacks of being in melee even more than the herald of the sun build are offset by the fact you have 1 minute wings and really strong aoe healing during those windows.

I think the reason people dont play Pres Evoker is because Blizzard does almost nothing to tell you what the combo's are for the spec. Its extremely opaque and not easily grasped by a typical player.

Holy Pala enjoyer here. I’m currently working on timing all the +12s after timing all 11s. Just for an idea of the key level I am playing at. I don’t mind LS AC, but for keys I just struggle with it. It seems easy and almost perfect in the raid (currently progressing Princess) but for keys I just play HoTS. Removing Awestruck and Tower of Radiance feels horrible when you get unintentionally pushed out of melee. It’s not as strong, but still perfectly fine and hits all the healing checks. It’s kind of nice both hero trees are so close in terms of their healing output. Damage of HoTS needs to be improved however, it’s not comparable to LS.

Have been running a build for MW that is all about resetting the new rushing wind kick. You don't get the buffed ancient teachings but the damage is bonkers high. Dance of chi-ji + awakened jadefire will top off the group during any trash pull, and for boss fights you can use Peer into Peace to spread envelop/vivify. (Your rushing wind kick will add time to all your envelops as well)

I have all the healers and maimed with Resto Shammy. When the anniversary event came out I speed leveled the rest of my healers and LOVED them all in TW. I don’t like higher M+ for stress and tanks that bail before key is over. I only M+ with fixed group now.

monk is by FAR the most fun healer right now. feels insane to play. you have to plan your healing unlike shaman which is fun. sithlightning aoe dmg healinng is insaaaane. ( dawnbreaker miniboss at the house for instance)

The fact that holy priest is better now than anytime during the past expansion, and is yet still at the bottom of the list speaks to just how bad Dragonflight was for holy priests. It’s also frustrating that when other healers are not competitive, there’s a big community push for those healers to receive buffs, but it seems like the community almost expects holy priest to receive very little attention. I feel like our single target is fine. We really need our AOE spells to be buffed. Holy priest has a really strong tool kit, even if it’s not the best fit for this season, buffing abilities, like prayer of healing and circle of healing and holy word sanctify Would go along way to help us manage damage profiles in current season one mythic plus dungeons.

Holy Priest is only "strong" in raids because they are the easiest spot healer to pilot after Holy Paladin Herald of the Sun centric nerfs. Numerically they are actually struggling, they are at the bottom of the meters on most fights unless you build a raid comp specifically around maximizing their output with evokers rescuing and spatial paradoxing them on cd. In dungeons they are really bad because they have to plant their feet 24/7 to heal outside of some Surge procs and Holy Word charges, and their group heals have half the healing or even less of their single target heals. Circle of Healing has to be buffed, mostly by adding more ways to apply Renew passively with other spells, then Prayer of Healing needs massive buffs to multipliers(minimum of triple the current amount of healing) and to be made a true smart heal.

Nah we have 99 parsing disc priest in raid or top 5 in world on tindral who swapped to holy on some fights and went up in HPS. Holy is really good in some fights and worse in others. Disc is actually overall struggling more in raid, same with mw

Holy Priest here timing higher Keys, I timed some 14's but everything is so AoE Bursty that we really need others to help us with self healing and Group Defs. Some Dungeons are almost undoable as H Priest like CoT etc. It's not like I can't play Disc, I just don't enjoy the gamestyle. We really need some buffs fast pls :(

With a pure throughput MW build you can absolutely heal through anything. The high dps build is cool and all, but the 500k dps isn't worth losing 15s per death that could have been prevented. Peer into Peace alone can handle most outgoing AoE damage

Holy AC LS paladin is incredibly fun to play. The issue is like you say, whenever you cant be in melee, healing becomes incredibly starved, and there are many situations where moving out of melee for any extended period of time feels very awkward. I play 12+ keys, but not having a premade, I can spend hours looking for one group for one key, because people have reservations towards playing holy pala in their key, or the better specs such as ret and prot, are already in the group.

My group usually already have 2 melee in the group plus the tank and having a melee healer means all ranged mechanics go on the mage so he dies a lot or does no dmg. Otherwise I would love to play pally trifecta!

As a prot pally starting to time 12s, I much prefer being healed by a disc priest. The shaman's lack of external feels bad and I can cover for the priest's lack of kick. Also most shamans drink every two pulls where Disc priests drink every two keys.

Hey mad, i as preservation evoker player say Pevoker single target healing is really really bad . We can't heal dots that well ! Living flame cast time is too long even with hero talent buffs And i find it better and faster to use my aoe heals to heal a single target dot . I think what needs to happen is they need to make Living flame cast time shorter and rework emerald blossom for Pevoker or give 2 choice talent to pres tree that buff single target or aoe part of emerald blossom by a huge amount ,we are giving 3 essence to our spender and it does no heal . i like to see it being a strong single target spender so we can have more answers to dots

You need to watch some AutomaticJak videos. You rarely use Living Flame for spot healing, you use a combination of Echo, Reversion, Verdant Embrace and 1st level Dream Breath.

@@alessandroscandurra7033you mostly just drop dance of chi ji and lick up the jade empowerment talent. It can be casted from range and your ancient teachings affects your crackling lightning so you can just spam than now from ranged instead of spinning.

And then if you play herald its average hps suck ass after millions of nerfs they received on top of their spot healing being really bad outside of wings. It's not that huge of a difference. if you're struggling bad with it you're probably not utilizing double holyshocks and timing awakening properly. ​@@matt566 There is no way to play the game if you don't time awakening for example there is no way to have a cd for every aoe on 2nd boss in dawnbreaker if you don't use awakening on one of them, but i still hate awakening like on trash is maybe most annoying thing to play around it as others get what awakening does for granted by just having that cooldown available. There is nothing close to disc timed hps potential, but during ac yeh hpala have nearly similar hps to rshaman, but outside of cds i don't agree at all. Holy raw spot healing is maybe worst out of anything only that new talent that is a bit troll sometimes helps a bit. Mw now can just click cjw and on 4 targets you are topping everyone instantly every 30 seconds with one single button on top of the fact they have 4+ huge cds that you can spam one after another, paladins have just 1 with that cringe awakening and divine toll/prism which are way worse than sheiluns gift/tft. I don't have issues doing weekly 10s on my 615 hpala i would put it in c-f tier otherwise, its just that whole spec feels beans to play. Like on resto druid you can carry tanks that barely use their buttons you can do like 2m hps just tank healing, hpala holy shocks fill 10% of peoples hp.

I don't really care about super high keys, but holy priest needs a big numerical rework; it's awful in it's current state. Renew is essentially worthless. Prayer of mending is weak if your archon and soso decent if you're oracle, but hero talent choice shouldn't be buffing iconic core toolkit spells by over 100%. Circle of healing is inconsequential and it's not worth all the talent points to get. Prayer of healing is both inferior hps and horrible hpm. I think there is WAY too much specialization in holy priest talents. It's like if resto shaman had chain heal and healing surge on a choice node. Holy needs to have most if not all of it's healing toolkit accessible and worthwhile to use regardless of talent build, not just to make it more capable of a healer but simply to make it actually fun to play. IMO they should retune everything with some very clear goals in mind: Heal and flash heal should be (obviously) best for triage/spot healing damage on 1-2 players, and perhaps also keep the role of your most mana efficient heals. Circle should be a priority spell to use on 3+ targets. Prayer of healing should be a decent hps gain over single target healing at 4 targets and a clear gain at 5. Renew's raw healing and healing increase talent should be buffed such that it's a very good spell to keep on a target you're going to do sustained single target healing on, but not so good that you spam it on as many targets as possible. Prayer of mending should be a priority to keep on cd regardless of talent build, if no one is in dire need of emergency triage. Holy word: sanctify needs a large radius increase to make it significantly easier and more reliable to use in dungeon environments. I think there is WAY too much focus on intraspec talent/build/gameplay variety when WoW already has tons of gameplay variety across 40 specs. Not at the reduction of what we had in years past. Some specs feel like "remember those 8--10 core abilities you had? Well now you can "specialize" into 3 of your choice and all your other buttons will feel like trash!"

Holy Priests were supposed to be THE jack-of-all-trades versatile healer by Blizzard's own description. They were supposed to be able to flow between different types of healing, single, group, stacked, spread but not be the best at any, but Blizzard really dropped the ball by making Lightweaver the only viable build for them for all forms of content. Ironic that Restoration Shamans, the healers that were supposed to specialize in stacked, progression-centric low health healing but bad at spread healing and topping people up to full, are just blowing Holy Priests out of the water in every metric of versatility.

Holy holy priest hasn’t had access to decent AOE healing from multiple expansions now. We’ve been strongly, single target since Shadowlands and honestly irrelevant before then. The last time we had strong AOE healing was wrath.

Check the vault when you hover over it! It may give you higher lvl items if you finish higher keys

+10s give Myth track gear in the vault and that's where it tops. 10s are considered vault keys and you should try to do 8 +10s per week for your vault. Anything higher than +10 is considered a high key and doesn't give more reward except the sense of mastery and accomplishment. That's the point where you play only because you wanna push yourself. If you're a reward-driven player you will hate 12s and will stop at 10s. If you're a mastery-driven player, 12s is where the game starts. They are very different ways of playing the game.

As a preservation evoker, I hit 2700 week 2 of m+. I was trying to complete my 11s and I was pugging with decent players. Then the dispel affix got released and I got 0 invites for 2 weeks straight and fell behind by 400+ rating. I just got 2800 last night after all of this time. Blizzard ruined this season for me. I'm stuck pugging with absolute morons who do 1.1m-1.3m overall and never use defensives correctly and always blame me. I get tanks who are 300 rating over me who don't know any of the correct routes or lose aggro and get me killed from my hots or they just pull too much and don't interrupt or cc or use defensives correctly. Hell, I can literally solo carry a tank through GB on my pres, I can dispel first tank buster into time dial and rotate them for almost every single tank buster on the first boss and have time dial and rescue for every golem smash on the ads after, all I need is a dps like a shaman to not be retarded and actually decurse the absorbs on the next trash but that never happens or for my dps to not stand in the lavabender ascension and lose 80% of their hp right into the 1.5m dmg/s party wide aoe it deals until it dies. Just can't man. Worst season by far. Some of the worst players play at 3k now and I can't even get out of 2800. I've had some of the stupidest people make fun of my rating while they unknowingly tank the key I am in. I might quit WoW. I also see why Pres is at the bottom, the core playstyle is unsynergistic with m+ because if your teammate takes avoidable damage while you're ramping with your echos for an aoe mechanic then all of your spell timings get thrown off. That doesn't happen with any other healer in the game.

I havent played monk since BFA as a brewemaster and I figure Mistweaver would be really cool. Preservation does not feel good idk Im just not into that class!

As a MW who was pugging 13's, I gave up. My chances of being invited were one invite per hour in queues. Just gearing a shaman now to push keys. At the beginning of the expac blizz heavily nerfed coccon and the recent changes to MW are good but not enough to compete with Rshamn or Disc.

enh is so good, gotta drop the resto shaman for disc and bring enh. I wish i wanted to play disc, but I will just keep going on MW. The HPS is easy to deal with as MW, but it feels problematic for near 1 shots . Siege end boss dot comes to mind. I've just been doing 11s and starting to move into 12s. Run with a set group and rarely have enh in group. Had one last night and the speed of packs melting is so noticeable.

Disc is very fun and is quite easy to get into right now. It plays like a dps spec that happens to heal. My two Disc friends pump about 400k dps overall and sometimes burst for 2-3Mil in big pulls, plus they have PI which the Enhancement uses like crack to get up to 8-10Mil every 2 minutes on Trash it's amazing. PI is even good on my Prot pally's ass, letting me pump 5-6Mil in AoE with buffed wings from the 4-set.

As someone who plays all healers, I'm extremely glad about the downfall of Resto Shaman. It's still very strong but it's SO boring to play, so I'm extremely grateful that it's not so ubiquitous that I HAVE to play it. Resto Druid is in such a good spot right now, it'll probably need some serious nerfs next tier to keep it running ahead of the rest of the pack.

I got my resto Druid to 2.8k first week of turning 80, all depends who you are playing with 😂 your pugging probably? He will be playing with high level players as was I with my Druid, or having a high io main and creating your own group he will be grabbing 3k players getting crests and filling vault ect

I'd love to play my hpal with a 2H-INT-weapon. Unfortunately it doesn't make sense atm since you wouldn't be able to use SotR anymore, but these 2H-INT-weapons are still showing up in my vault and eat up a valuable slot (which is basically handicapping hpals). I wish Blizzard makes it so that we can make full use of them without losing our only holypower spender ability (for damage).

btw. even the icon for herald of the sun shows a paladin with a 2-handed sword. So using them as hpal shouldn't be a problem fantasy-wise and you actually would trade the armor from your shield in favor for a bit more dps (which is already on the lower side compared).

I have a Mistweaver, he is so good after patch 11.0.5 but without CR or BL, noone wants him +12, always the better choice is disco or rshamy because monk has only cocoon and small shield from ji. It is sad so high potencial has this healer without any possibilities bcs of “Tier list” and those limitation above.

My ideas for holy priests to make it valuable for m+, while also fix it in raid: 1. Make chastise an interrupt on nonstunable targets 2. Make an extra talent choice to make chastise an aoe stun wich is than shorter ofcourse 3. Buff aoe healing. Circle and prayer are so badly tuned right now that you don't even use them in raid 4. Fix Halo wich is still bugged in raids and add 5-10% more healing overall (not sure on the right number)

holy priest aoe heal is so bad right now. im healing 10s and 11s and im having to only spot individual heal and everyone is almost all dying or at least 1 dead is crazy. sanctify and circle of healing need major buff. like 300% of what its doing right now. If they dont wana do that then just buff prayer of mending by 300%.

Pres Evoker is painful right now in keys because of the range meta. So many times you're either nursing the tank or healing the ranged, and you can't do both at once with the ranged limitation. It hurts. You feel punished because you can't heal both at once. I switched to MW and love it.

I quit because i can only PUG and i play holy priest. I honestly think the fix would have been easy... CoH and PoH are not used as a holy priest, why? Core skills for group healing but they are so low on healing out put its a joke. They could have just increased healing on those in non-raids and honestly that would have been enough!

Well yes, you’re playing with bots who don’t know how to play the game. When you get to 10+. Discipline priest is THE best healer by far when it comes to unavoidable damage. Flash Heal isn’t meant to be as strong as you’d think. The real healing comes from the ramp. Flash heal is good filler for you and another person. Or to bump the health a bit until you get your rotation started. It meets the heal checks perfectly. Especially when you have good gear to get your mind blast and let on cd very quickly. Don’t give up on it. I’d argue holy is better for low keys and disc is better in the 8+ Ranges. Once you go disc you’ll never wanna go to any other healer.

I'm confused as to why these lists are always talking about very high keys. Most of the players will be lucky to do a +10 on farm. Why not just talk about viability up to a +10. Instead of +15 and higher when most people won't even get there.

Preservation sucks right now... I main preservation and it is just unfair... Shamans can heal from the opposite of the room while we are f$cked if two range dps are a bit too far.... Single target healing is absurd low. give me more range and I'll be happy. Doing PUGs 10s and 11s on Evoker is 0 fun.

This season is horrible for healer. I do raid and don’t play the rest of the week. Will probably unsub soon if there aren’t changes made to make it more enjoyable. AC Lightsmith is okay. I don’t like the Holy Armaments just because I already had too many keybinds and I don’t like how I can’t control what Holy Armament I’m giving out it I could use shields or weapon depending on what I need it would be infinitely better.

what would help healers a LOT - remove bloodlust from all classes, replace with drums - remove brez, replace with engi consumable useable without engi - give all healers some method of removing all types of debuffs, not necessarily just dispel but like shaman poison totem etc - remove generic kick from all healers outside of unique abilities blizzard are fuckin cowards and this wont ever happen though

It just blows my mind that dispel profiles are a thing. Dispels are largely a healer job, and Hpriest can't dispel anything this season. And no interrupt to boot, like what? Very poor CC options too, with just a fear and a single-target stun. We are missing so much utility and also now have no AOE healing. Circle and PoH push up bars like we are an offhealer. We just feel like a spec lost in time and forgotten. At least we are doing OK in raid, but even if the numbers are good I personally don't like the spot-heal playstyle. Not taking any AOE talents in raid content feels really wrong. Priests need an interrupt or if not then give us some other utility to make up for the lack of such a major and otherwise given part of every class's kit. I'm not hopeful though sadly. I'm looking forward to Blizzard to give us is yet another Mass Dispel nerf next tier for some reason.

Dispels are not mostly a healer's job, only magic dispels are and most dispels this season are Poison and Curses. All classes but War, Rogue, and DH can dispel something. Even then, War can do it using a talent every some minutes, Rogue can do it with CoS. Demo locks can't really do it as they lose too much dmg but Destro and Aff can have a magic dispel through the Imp. Really useful in Siege. DKs can AMS to clear themselves or immune almost anything. Hunters can Feign Death to clear debuffs. Pally can cleanse Poison and Disease with Cleanse Toxins, and Blessing of Sac using a talent, and bubble to clear themselves if needed. Druids and Shamans can clear Poison and Curses. Priest can do AoE magic dispels with MD which is insane in many spots, and Disease which I think is only really used in NW 1st boss and in Monkey Town in Siege.

The resto druid tiering is so copium, yea resto druids are capable of do a lot of healing but if you need to actively spend twice as much time as other healers spending GCD's on heals in order to accomplish the same thing then its not good. Why the hell does it need to cast 10 GCD's to prep for damage when shaman can just press one button and spend the rest of its time doing damage or using utility.

@ bcz I’m playing the spec with 627 ilvl on 12 and doing approximatively this numbers shown in the video (bit higher). There is no way he is pumping health bars like this with 590 ilvl on a +11. It’s not me beeing bad or him beeing a god, it’s math at this point. It’s not possible Even surviving the dmg of the encounter should be impossible with that gear lvl.

@@jubamat-6103 He is 606 right now and if you pay close attention where he is doing the numbers he does, it all is valid. The crystal boss in SV is where you get tons of extra healing and do more damage because of the orbs. Last boss he already does barely any healing while low damage. The pull in mists you don't see any big numbers. It's just the void orb buffed with 2 penance. I could pull similar numbers with my 595 ilvl disc. What you do need is a tank who can sustain himself because this is where priest is bad at. And if you have the mastery orbs affix priest really doesn't need any gear at all.

It's Skarmorak, he hs 1-2 stacks of the balls so he's doing 50-100% more healing. You probably need to adjust your stats or gameplay, or both. My brother is an experienced Disc and he was healing 10s at 600 doing these kind of numbers. At 615 now he's healing 12s and pumping close to 500k overall dmg with 2-3Mil dmg bursts.

It's literally what they did this season. The thing is, if there is no dmg incoming and you aren't doing dmg, you're griefing the group. It's the equivalent of a dps not using defensives because "healing is not his job". Very immature. If a healer adds 10% dmg to the group, then you have 10% more time do d the key.

You nailed it, I think it’s just losing some cooldowns that makes playing the spec feel a bit awkward. At least it did for me! Tell them to buff tranq plz 🫶
