Best Masala Dosas in Bangalore - Tasty and Crispy Dosas - The Boasts

Here's the list of the best Masala dosas in Bengaluru! Other places which are awesome but weren't on this video due to logistical issues are Hotel Chalukya, Hotel Janardhan, Taaza Thindi, Janata Hotel and Udupi Sri Krishna Bhavan! Do give these places a try as well.
Also, this entire series is called the Boasts. This list is meant to be an over the top, overcompensating and over-expressive format to mirror the usual boasts that one does when asked about which is the best masala dosas and why?
The language of communication used is English and therefore the term Dosa is pronounced as dosa instead of the local way of pronouncing it i.e. Dosay.

Bangalore has changed so much from our school days in the 60s. Breeze used to serve the best and huge Masala Dosa along with the biggest Idli Vada Sambar which came in a deep bowl filled with sambar. The real dosa is Only Mysore masala dosai My choice top to bottom ( vidyarti, siddana, ranganna, chickanna ) no 1 no. 2 mtr, ctr Udupi krishna bhavan & Janardhana, the udupi, and udupi janadhana also unique sagu have masali at no 3 pandu, modern hindu hotel at 4 may be a couple more top 3 are must if you want a Mysore masale dosai

They serve mouthwatering bhel, nippat masala , tomorrow masala I can bet you guys this bhel is one of the best in Namma Bengaluru.

Maiyas is very clean..... Another place is Taza Thindi in Banashankari 3rd Stage..... Very clean and good food. You have also missed out UD (Uphar Darshini). Vidhyarthi Bhavan is overhyped, terrible and pathetic service (oddly not first come first serve, but by rows in which you sit in!); the owners aren't bothered about customers and haven't invested in improving the place, just pocketing all the profits and avoiding taxes (haven't seen a GST bill from them ever)!

Yes I have a bitter experience in Vidyarthi Bhavan when they served masala dosa it was half cooked and chutney was poured on dosa instead of giving it separately, it was mixed up with dose and even the waiters were very rude.

There's no other way of expressing the brilliance that is there on his plate. In general, masala dosa in small and darshini hotel s are good in Bangalore unlike chennai, where dosas are too large. About the cost, in 60s I used eat MD for 20 pisa in Kalyan cafe seshadrpuram

I have always unsuccessfully craved to visit many of these restaurants. You have no idea how much you have helped me! Now, I know better, and I will studiously avoid dosa in these places, or at the very least, ask them to dial down the ghee (as if they will accommodate he he !!). Translation. As much as I love this, I have to say that I am aghast by the amount of ghee being poured on the dosa. Really, you need that much butter/ghee? Seriously?!!!! I am not even sure if this is dosa any longer! I think these are all flat vadas because they are being essentially fried. Not to belittle any of the chefs here, but most mediocre food can be elevated by ghee. So, sorry, none of these cut it. All you will get if you consume this is heart attack. It will taste good though! Here is a tag line for all these concoctions, "From our Kitchen, Straight to your Heart". Real chefs can whip up magic without putting you at risk of going to the hospital. Fail.

I have been a fan of vidyarthi bhavan for decades, but a couple of recent experiences have sadly turned me off- the big one being their attitude. They literally throw the food at you. I understand they want to get people in from the waiting line- does it justify almost beating us inside to hurry up? I didn’t get my coffee and I left after my second failed request. Most recently, my masaldose was burnt crisp, but you could see the raw dough inside with cold palya, looking uncooked and unhealthy. I brought it to the server’s notice who referred me to the manager who said these things happen in a busy place, but did nothing!! I left deeply disappointed never to return. Sorry, but their money seems to be occupying their head space. Their day of reckoning is near but they have no time for sincere comments 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️!

We feel you.. a lot of people are sentimental about the place and rightly so.. however, one can't ignore the fact that it's not the same.. maybe some of them are so habituated to the food there that they don't seem to notice the small things that have changed that have made a huge difference 🙂

Alu masala is must to prepare very tasty with good mix Or its nod good.. But most of the places half cooked aluu. Smashed it with litle salt n chilli.
