Best Matte Box For You - Small Rig Star Trail 95mm Unboxing, Comparison and Real Talk

We’ve all been there, what ND filter should we use, which matte box will fit my lenses, is one better than another? In the video I explain why I purchased the Small Rig Star Trail Matte Box 95mm for my Sony FX3 / Viltrox Epic Cine lens build. It took a lot of research to find out which Matte Box fit my needs best. I needed an efficient, durable and affordable solution. This one checked those boxes.. but will it stand the test of time? This is the first video of a series where I am building out my Cine rig for Run-N-Gun Commercial Filmmaking, and at the time of posting this video, I have now used this Matte Box in Smoke, in the rain, and in the Carolina heat. It’s worked well and I love the 1-8 stop VND, it fits my 95mm lenses very well. Let’s chat about it!

People should know... additional filter trays are no longer available. Its discontinued it seems. Very disappointing. So, you can only use one filter at a time. The additional filters let you have up to 3 filters at a time. And oddly it is only 1 or 3 filter trays.

I KNOW I've been doing research and this is SO ridiculous. Completely unusable for me. Do you know of any other matte box's that allow for a VND and stackable filter trays. It'd be such a great feature if they had some.
