Being a side sleeper, I make sure to keep a pillow or these wedged foam pillows specifically for in between my knees to help with alignment. Great vid!

I used to sleep on my stomach but bought a mattress that makes that impossible, so I've had to adapt to being a side sleeper. I miss sleeping comfortably, but can't afford a new mattress.

Bought two new expensive ish mattresses and still having pressure pain. Trying to fix but still working on it but so far no luck. I think personally I should have avoided the springs. The Nectar might be the fix! Thanks for posting.

What about heavy side sleepers who need support and a thicker layer of pressure relief? Me and my gf are both side sleepers and heavier. I weigh 320lbs and she is 200lbs, we bought the layla hybrid and sleep on the soft side. Both of us found the bed to be too firm. We get shoulder and hip pain after awhile and toss and turn. So we bought a topper for it. So we might return the bed, what is a good option if we do so ? I have been looking at the puffy Royale because it's thicker layers of comfort. Also the amerisleep as5,nectar premier copper and the dreamcloud premier rest.

Great question. Have you tried the firmer side of the Layla Hybrid? Plush layers and soft mattresses can be good options for pressure relief, but they may not offer the best support. So just make sure whatever bed you do choose will keep your spines aligned. With that being said, the DreamCloud Premier Rest is a very good choice, and the Puffy Royale also has very thick comfort layers. We'd lean toward the DreamCloud given it offers better support!

@SleepIsTheFoundation yes we slept on the firm side for a week, my back hurt less. But the bed doesn't have enough pressure relief on the firm side. Shoulder pain and pressure points build up by the end of the night for both of us. So yeah we need the support combined with better pressure relief where you don't sink too much.

I am so sick of mattresses only sold for two people . I don't find dense matresess comfortable at all. So no memory foam for me. I have fibromyalga and feel everything. I'm like the pricess and the pea and feel everything. I sleep alone have a queen size platform bed that can't have the matress beyond 12" and I get very very hot. I sleep with my 5lb. Dog and I'm 66. I'm struggling to find a matress that doesn't leave me sore. Yes I'm a side sleeper and sometimes end up on my tummy. Hips and neck and lower back get real sore. I wake up with a lower back sore every morning hips too as well as my shoulders. Please don't suggest any mstress fir couples.
