I love love love Mid Century Modern and have been collecting furniture and housewares since the late 80s, way before the resurgence of the style. My mom was very much into Danish Modern walnut and teak so I think that' s why I gravitated to the 50s styles.

You forgot my Nr 1 IKEA MCM piece: the EKENÄSET. It was first launched by IKEA in 1957 under the name ESBJERG and was designed by Danish architect Thomas Harlev. You were spot on with all the others. I always admire your VARMBLIXT lamp on the wall, perfect placement by the way. Looking forward to next week thank you. ❤ Mars is the best dog ever!

Mars is a beautiful boy. I liked all of the items but the comfy looking stool at the beginning brought on some interesting ideas. It could be a side table just by adding a glass medallion. Or, even better, a round tray that could be easily moved for extra seating. That last comfy looking chair is really inviting. Its great keeping up with Ikea products and its always nice visiting with you and Mars.

Hi, Mon! I'm into MCM and I really enjoyed your video and would love a part 2. I have most items you presented except those that can be easily destroyed by my cats claws!😅 So rotin and leather is a no no at my house, unfortunately. I love the Stockholm table but the rotin base would be destroyed in less than a week as it ressemble their scratching pads! 🐾🙈 Thanks for the video and hugs to Mars!

I was brought up with MCM so was lucky enough to inherit some original pieces. Also living in a style backwater i can still pick up vintage pieces really cheap- there was even an original sideboard just left behind in a house i bought!

I really like that Havberg chair BUT it needs arms! I know it's going after the Eames vibe, but I sat in one at my local showroom and just could not get past its lack of armrests - it almost ruins the rest of the comfort LOL

To me, the word "finds" applies to one-of-a-kind things or things from thrift shops, not to Ikea's mass-produced stuff that 100000s of people can own. Regardless, I do have the doughnut lamp and the Tobias chairs.
