SL is the "bottom" line slalom race ski, which is already hard enough for most advanced skiers. It already has two sheets of metal in it. Above that you have even harder skis with called World Cup Master and World Cup FIS which are competition aimed skis, with harder wood core and thicker metal. So it is already hard for an average skier and likes really well prepared, hard conditions. SC is a much more user friendly softer version of SL with softer poppel wood and a non complete layer of metal, around the edges. I am an intermediate skier and find SL fun only before lunch, SC works all day and still rewards good technique while forgiving mistakes on harder conditions. Even though the turning radius is short, it also does ok at higher speeds. But to learn carving longer turns you'll need to go RC, which is essentially the same as SC but with minimally longer radius per size and comes in longer sizes. i have no clue what SRC is but price indicates it may not have metal sheet in it, thus may be even softer.
