Freddie Freeman is always the best mic'd up player. He embraces it and has fun with it. That's why it's fun. This should be incorporated more in games - not for the pitcher on the mound or hitter in the box, but for whoever is fielding at that time.

They probably won’t because this is just the all star game, it’s just for fun and doesn’t mean anything. Regular season games that could have playoff implications are a lot less shenanigans and players taking it more seriously. Plus commentators could accidentally give something away

Some of it is fun for the fans though. I am 100 percent against it during normal regular season games, but since the All-Star game no longer even determines home field advantage for the World Series, I enjoy these mic'd up segments. I don't think Bogaerts comes off looking bad, I was the same way when I played in high school, I didn't want anyone talking to me the entire game, but it is cool to see Freeman and Tatis have a little back and forth with the announcer.

Rules for mic’d up should be they have to be fielding to get mic’d up because who wants to be mic’d up hearing joe buck while a 95 mph heater is coming at you having to have hand eye coordination etc. lol it’s way easier fielding (ruling out a come backer at a pitcher) and to be loose and talk and have these guys in your ear.
