a cold shoe mount for the mic that can be switch 360deg would be better ..you dont need to replace your existing mic and the mount would be cheaper for sure

I’m actually looking to use this as a stereo mic (since that’s an advertised usecase on the Amazon page). My Audio Technica mic is alright, but it’s a noisy mic (self noise is audible as hiss even in loud environments). This one seems like it does alright (I can’t hear any hiss from the segments of this video where this mic is used) and it’s available for like $50 from some sources so, I’m sold. Sounds at least as good as my VideoMic II, except, well, two of ‘em.

Currently use the ZV-1 on-board mic or the Rode Video Micro Go. The on-board mic for the ZV-1 is not bad but flipping it definitely degrades the quality of the audio and same for the Rode. So to have this mic with both front and back mics at a $89 price point is not bad at all for beginners or creators on a budget like myself!😁 thanks for the review we will definitely be picking one up soon!

I bought this product and send it back after a couple of days. The reason is the worst windshield and performance sadly. I have rode videomic ntg now with ws11 windshield. Man, this is how to suppose to be a mic. Yes, it's expensive but worth to spend any cent!

This mic sounds great. And $89 are you kidding me?.. Although it picks up more of ambient sounds and being short doesn't really suite for interviews with a boom stand but probably it's great exactly for vlogging. If you could, please make a sound comparison between these 4 mics: Audio-Technika AT875R, Deity V-MIC D3 PRO, Deity D4 Duo and finally ECM-XM1 that comes with Sony XLR-K3M. I have K3M and still deciding on a #1 mic, mainly for shooting interviews and documentaries. Thank you!

You want a condenser mic - this wouldn’t be a bad option - if you don’t need both sides look at the rode videomircro

Anyone with a cable/adapter solution for use together with smartphones ? Above Omar does link to a "TRS to TRRS adapter", but I am told that this won't work, since smartphones only use a mono microphone signal. What is necessary is some kind of "audio interface" built into an adapter, that samples the analog stereo signal and transfers it to the smartphone through USB/lightning. Kan anyone think of such a solution ?
