Hey! Just wanted to chime in after watching your review. I've been using the DJI Mic for a while now and I've found the connection stability to be quite good. And the new DJI Mic 2 even has an audio recording backup feature, which sounds like a game-changer for reliability.

Yeah, I understand my experience is not likely the average, but it was just annoying enough that it turned me off of DJI mics and towards the Rode. Had a DJI drone failure under warranty at the same time, they handled that extremely well!Unfortunately my mics were out of warranty and likely just a freak fringe issue, but it is what it is.

The MKE600 is my mic of choice. Can’t stop recommending it. 👌🏻

It’s a great option at a reasonable price for the quality! Just needed some sound treatment in my office to keep the reverb down.

the MKE600 sounded very natural, so does the wireless mics. However, the podmic sounded too deep, pretty unnatural. The SM58 in fact sounded more natural than the podmic, not so boomy.

The MKE600 is growing on me. I like the broadcast sound of the podmic and the shure, but it does cut out a lot of the room noise that might make the others sound more natural. I pretty much didn’t do any EQ other than volume normalizing. Any of these could be made to sound similar enough at the end of the day which is crazy!

If connected to the iPhone, do mics like the Rode Go II, are being powered from the iPhone's battery? Is a power consumption level quite significant?

For the shotgun mics yes the phone is providing power and it’s not noticeable. For the wireless mics no, the internal batteries of the transmitter and receiver are the power source, not the phone.
