Great tutorial, after watching several videos with this one I was able to get just the right spot on my Blue Yeti Nano. Now my voice doesn't sound so saturated. If someone are thinking of adding an EQ (in my case Reaq) I advise you to do it after the gain and before the noise suppression. It worked that way for me.

Funny thing is, i had most of these figured out but completely forgot about the cardioid mic heart shape thing and then realised i had my mic 'backwards' (facing my monitor) - Just flipping it round towards me made a huge difference with not picking up my keyboard etc haha. Nicely detailed though my man! :)

Thanks so much, I'm new to streaming and my mates have been telling me that they can hear my laptop fan the entire time, I tried adjusting the settings myself but I only managed to get so the laptop fan was quieter or was only hearable when I was speaking. This video has helped so much I haven't tested it in stream yet but I tested with a louder fan and didn't pick up the noise. THANKS!

Very helpful video, thank you! Can someone please tell me if there is a way to monitor my voice/mic output during stream? I clicked the cog next to the mixer in OBS (using a Blue Yeti) and tried the monitor/output and monitor only, but it didn't send my voice through my headset with the game audio, so I have no idea how loudly I am speaking.

Hook's Hollands honestly if you’re voice is in the yellow part of the of the microphone levels that’s where you want it. Green would be too soft and red would be too loud, the compressor level helps with that as explained in the video. It will decrease the audio level volume if you’re too loud and increase when you’re too soft

Hi Mate, I've followed what you have said and I have a logitec Pro X with Blue Mic. It sounds so much better, so thanks heaps.
