My mic audio sounds good when I stream on Twitch but the game audio cuts in and out on my VODs. Any ideas? I don't play copyright music when I stream so it's not twitch muting anything I know that.

That's actually a great question! Usually when you buy the package through their other site own3d.tv they include a file without audio, but since it's own3d.pro im actually not sure since it's built-in. Hi! I’m having this issue where I have gifs and memes for my stream deck on Streamlabs obs. The problem is when I hit the button on the stream deck to play the gifs or sounds they play on the stream, but I want to be able to hear them on my desktop audio to test how new sounds sound before I add them. I’ve tried adding audio output sources and I have it on monitor and output and no sound comes from my desktop speakers. But here’s what’s weird…..if I go to KZbin and play a video sound DOES come from the speakers. Please help!

Very weird! Not sure if it could be caused from the Stream Deck itself or not, but I'd suggest messing with the monitor and output settings, which you already have, so not sure where the disconnect could be. Try reaching out to Streamlabs Support Chat, they're actually super friendly and helpful and I bet they can trace down the issue :D

06:08 i Have mine setup exactly like this - Track 1 for Desktop & Mic for streaming. Track 2 for Desktop and 3 for Mic on recording. I have two issues. The 1st issue, when i record is only my mic is being picked up on the recording when my game is not being displayed. And then the mic is not being picked up when the game is displayed. Edit* I got the above working with the seperate tracks but the issue below with not having 2 seperate audio tracks in DaVinci still remains. Is there some setting in DaVinci i need ot enable for it? When i import either the MKV or MP4 to DaVinci i only have 1 video track and 1 audio track not two. I have no idea wth is going on :(

Davinci should accept multiple audio tracks, I don't believe I did anything special in davinci to make it do that so im not sure what could be causing that for you if you setup your tracks correctly in obs

Hey cpaw dont what im doing.. ive tried everybodies advice. but im not streaming. just recording for a beginner. im have problems setting my audio work right.. after i finally reinstalled obs again because i messed around with so much settings. anyways i get no audio while playing on desktop..then aftre recorded. i only get a hi hissing noise it sounds like my fanspeed which might or might not be possible right. so im useing obs 27.2.4 vivitar capcard playing off of x360. could you tell what might be that hi hissing whitenoise i hear after recording. and what setting turns on audio while playing and recording at the same time.. Im stuck and lost.. i got audio for one then another previoously but that was too many settings ago and i dont remember. what i did.. then i just restalled the obs thanks

I have an Xbox One X with an elgato HD60s capture card. I am using OBX studios as well. When I am in a party chat and am recording my videos, it doesn't record the party chat audio. I would recommend trying to set the Xbox audio settings in your xbox to come out of both your headset and TV speakers. Usually that will force the capture card to capture all audio 😀

Hi - Your videos have been incredibly helpful with getting me to use OBS. One issue I'm running into is capturing game audio whenever I turn on my gaming headphones. OBS completely stops capturing the game audio in my stream, and I've tried a bunch of different things to try and get it to work, but can't seem to get it right. My gaming headphones are wireless. Do you have any suggestions?

I'd check and see if your audio settings in obs are set to default, if they are, then they could be getting switched when you connect your headphones to your windows audio settings :D

I think I found a workaround by going into my Xbox settings and keeping the volume to headset and monitor even when my headphones are on, and just muting my monitor volume. Question, are you able to separate the desktop audio from the game audio? Since I'm trying to make sure that the facebook and other websites are not heard during the stream.

I believe you can do that by clicking on your game capture source and double clicking it to create a custom audio device, but then you might have to mute the desktop audio at that point.

If you have your tracks set to record to multiple in your obs recording settings then there should be multiple. also make sure that your video editing software can handle multiple audio tracks

Which video editor are you using? I have tried everything and OBS is only outputting one file. My editor can run obs recording and a voice recording at the same time so I know it can handle two files.@@CpawsMusic

Okay so i have a problem (5:35) , after many many tries, i still can't understand why this don't work. (I don't stream) So i have 3 audio track (1 2 and 3...kinda logic yes xD) but when i go to Advanced audio propreties and select, for exemple Track 1 for my PC audio (Game) Track 2 for my microphone and track 3 for Discord audio (for exemple or can be music) the game audio work but the mic and Discord don't, and in Clipchamp (wich is my "video editing software") i don't see the 3 tracks, it is because of Clipchamp or i do something wrong ?

It's possible that clipchamp can't use 3 audio tracks at the same time, try using davinci resolve, its free and what I use

Hey man. My mic echoes on OBS and I’m not sure why. One of my sources is my Razor Mic, so that’s one of the things that shows up under audio mixer. Then the other thing is “Mic/Aux” which is ALSO my Razor mic. So I think they are overlaying. But when I disable one of them, then my mic picks up barely anything. So my choices are overlay or nothing. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I apologize for so much writing.

When I stream FL Studio, the audio would be picked up via the desktop audio in OBS and it would be broadcasted to Twitch when I streamed to Twitch. Discord/Zoom you wouldn't need OBS.

I don’t know why but both on Obs and Slobs I have my usual filters added - checked, mic works fine but for some reason in last week both are not apply the filters so the noise gate, etc just not working as before - I checked my yeti mic sound settings on pc and all seem fine but I cannot work out why the 4 filters I have set do now not seem to work - a head scratcher 😮

I have this problem of my desktop audio is muting automatically when streaming. sometimes when I start streaming the audio mutes automatically. sometimes after some time around 30 mins. less or so it will mute automatically. there are times when the specific window like games mostly LD player or Bluestacks the desktop audio mutes automatically. I did a time too when I put a mic and the mic audio mutes automatically too. even for a Specific window audio. it's been my problem for a month now. Because sometimes I use streaming privately to record my gameplay.

Audio is so bogus man. Good vid but it’s the #1 issue. I can play on ps5 and hook up my mic it doesn’t pick anything but my voice. PC picks up if I breath. It’s like console has a built in buffer or something. So now I have a $2k pc sitting because if I steam the audio drives me nuts

Very weird, I'd recommend messing with the capture card settings like double clicking the video capture device source and click add custom audio

@@S1mL1fe Interesting. I’m not going to lie, from the way you’ve described your stream/record set up and signal flow, nothing should work or is the super inefficient way of going about things. Considering you have a seemingly capable PC, you should get yourself a capture card (can get a capable ElGato used capture card for under $100). Avoid the built in stream to twitch or major video editing options like the plague. You lose a lot of functionality doing so.

Make sure to wear headphones, otherwise the mic will pick up your computer audio through your speakers. Also make sure to mute your twitch stream if you're watching yourself on the twitch page

There in no workaround for this its latency between interface and obs You need a soundcard with dsp capabilities for no latency monitoring yo can also wire a daw to obs that pick up your voice. Would recommend voicemeeter but its a bit confusing.

Hopefully, someone can help. I was using a different software program, and it just wasn't working out, so I searched for other options and found this video. I've downloaded OBS and followed all of the steps in the video, but there's an issue. I currently have two microphones hooked up. Both are recognized and assigned in the Audio Mixer field. However, when I talk into my microphone, I'm being picked up on the other microphone across the large table. My microphone meter moves, but on the playback of the file, you can tell that it's not from my mic, it sounds like it's from a distance. I then went over to the other mic and started recording and then played that file, and it's close, crisp, and clear, so that microphone is picking up whomever sits in front of it. I then went back over to my microphone and in the audio mixer area of OBS I muted the other microphone across the large table, recorded a test file, played it, and this time it picked me up on my microphone. Why won't my microphone pick me up when another is plugged in? Any help is appreciated.
