I did plan b and i was at a good enough level that my bow skills were high enough to hit the bird, i also got the gold scarab and made my own gold fowl feet, i made millions at the bird farm and raised my levels , there's a point where you get tired of getting one shot , i got my gold fireflys at the mistwood pond , i learned something new, your pond spot for the gold fireflys , i also use my adula great sword to kill the seabirds on the beach near the isolated merchant, rune farming works , im st level 277 and beat the game now i have the wave of gold sword to use at the same spot but against the albinaurics, talk about fast lucrative rune farming, it now costs me 687k runes to level up 1 attribute, excellent tutorial, this is perfect for the new elden ring gamers , new york

for people using magic: using the spell "Loretta's Mastery" removes the necessity for the Glintstone Scraps, because it hits the bird too

I'll do you one better, instead of glintstone scrap, get 24 strength and the Great Club. The trick is to lock on to the bird, wait until the lock on dot lines up with the second main trunk of the tree (the one just before it turns around) then let loose Golden Land. If done correctly, it would take incredible misfortune for the bird to NOT fall off. Additionally, you can rest at the grace the moment the bird runs off and still get the runes. Doing this properly will get you runes in under 10 seconds if the bird cooperates.

The only other way to get to Mohgwyn Palace is through the Consecrated Snowfield.
