As for the feiyue shoes, there are two versions of them. One with a red dot on the bottom of the sole and one with a Green Triangle. The latter are the ones you want to get. I also have a pair with the Red dot as Seen in the video, which have this ridiculously soft Gel-like Cushing. The Green Triangle ones i have are considerably firmer, maybe not as sensitive and Firm as the other Models with 3mm soles, but a good Budged option nontheless. They also dont have this stupid "boat Like Side to Side wobble" as the Red ones have. Hope this helps anyone. Greetings from Germany

It's ironic because the green triangle ones are the ripoffs of Feiyue

@audacity1375

@@salj.5459 The triangle is the Chinese original. The red circle is the french version. The originals can't be sold as feiyues in the west since a french guy trademarked feiyue in Europe and sells a lesser version (the red circle version) under that name. the originals are sold as DA FU in the west, and they also changed the triangle to a circle in the west, just to make it even more confusing.

You have to get the original Feiyues (with the green triangle and top one label). They don't retail in Europe and America though. You need to order them from China. For me those are perfect. It's true that they don't have a super wide toe box, but they don't squash your toes either. For me that's good enough.

My question is with the wildling barefoot shoes should you go for your true foot length like I am 27,5cm or give a little more room for your foot like some barefoot websites recommend ?

Great review(s) another brand to consider are the Xero shoes, I have been using the Speed Force model on dirt roads and tarmac where I live for several months now, six miles a day every day and they show very little wear. They have great toe box space for your foot to expand as you forefoot strike (essential for barefoot style running) and great breathability. Please do a video on nutrition, what you suggest regarding diet.

Thank you very much for the video! Hard to decide between the vivos and the wildlings, both sound very good. Are the vivos better for barefoot shoes beginner (due to the slightly thicker sole)?
@guillaumeleroy3079
@guillaumeleroy3079 3 жыл бұрын
From my personal experience, I only tried Vivo and I needed almost 3-4 months of walking everyday (at least 15 min/day) in it before being able to run in them. So if you are really not experienced I will advise you to try walking with them and still use your normal running shoes for a few months. That's what I've done and I'm really happy with these shoes now !

I think I may buy wildings and I am curious which shoes you chose. I plan to do a bit of running in them. Also curious if you were scared to go in mud or on trails when wearing them or do you just have to wash them afterwards?
@Sondre_Berg
@Sondre_Berg 2 жыл бұрын
If you’re planning on using the shoes for hiking, trail running, muddy roads etc. I’d recommend vivobarefoot trail shoes, or the tracker if you’re looking for a boot. Not just because they’re easier to clean, but also because of the soles. In these use cases you want soles with lugs so you don’t slip all around the place 😜 I love the Tanuki from wildling as a movement shoe and I also use them for running, but only in dry cityscape kind of environments. For any off road themed adventures I’d always go for a off road vivobarefoot shoe.

How do the VivoBarefoots handle the cold? I am looking for my first pair of barefoot shoes but my budget is limited and I can't afford to buy something that won't handle the low temperatures of the coming fall/winter seasons. For reference, in my region temperatures during the coldest winter days range between 20-40 Fahrenheit which is not cold compared to other places but for us Californian's that is freezing! I'd appreciate if you could give me some recommendation, ideally I want a casual shoes that I can pair with not so formal outfits such as jeans and shirts etc. Lastly I don't see much snow/rain but I do walk over gravel and dirt constantly so I'm looking for something that won't get ruined by a little dust.

my Vivobarefoot primus lite 3 got holes on the outside of my toe XD idk maybe because of my feet or just when I do parkour idk maybe shouldnt do parkour in those
@Sondre_Berg
@Sondre_Berg 3 жыл бұрын
Never had that issue myself, but I am not a parkour athlete😅 How long did you wear them before they got holes? I have quite a few parkour friends and I know the sport is brutal on shoes. So durability will obviously depend on usage. It would be interesting to know how they compare to other shoes in this category though. I also know that for parkour, the soles of the vivo shoes may not be grippy enough for many. The wildling is better in this sense, but I don’t know how they would fare durability wise if used to do parkour. In skateboarding for example, you couldn’t expect a shoe to last more than a month, or two (perhaps 3 with heavy shoegue usage) 😅
@eliaspkay
@eliaspkay 3 жыл бұрын
@@Sondre_Berg hahah yeah true it lasted quite a while maybe 4-5 months I’d say. In my experience they had a lot of grip. I also tend to sweat a lot in those shoes but I am this person who sweats ALOT😂 so it’s kinda understandable. I haven’t used the shoes everyday for parkour but maybe like 10-20 times and rest was for like long walks and running!
@Sondre_Berg
@Sondre_Berg 3 жыл бұрын
@@eliaspkay I see! I guess we’re the same kind of sweaty then😂 4-5 months is still not a lot. What I suggest is that you take a picture of your shoe and give a description of how they’re used and send it to vivo. It could be a production weakness, and if so, they may even send you a new pair😊 worst case, they get aware of the issue and may be able to something about it in their future models. If you ever decide to try the wildling shoes, I’d be super interested to know how they hold up for parkour. Allready had a friend test it for a day and he loved them. Just the durability that is not tested in this kind of use😅
