Her vintage pieces are, in fact, very rare, but I still look around when I’m out at estate sales, yard sales, antique stores, online, etc… “Hope springs eternal in the human breast.” Right? Story time. Years ago I heard a story about when they met at a gala. Young Charlie was a lowly vaudeville performer or something and she was already a big star. He introduced himself and asked her to hold out her palm, into which he placed a handful of peanuts. "I wish these were emeralds." He told her. Years passed, and it was on one of their big anniversaries (I don't recall which), he took her out to dinner and asked her once again to hold out her palm, into which he placed a pile of emeralds. "I wish these were peanuts!" Hands down the most romantic story I've ever heard!
