These videos always seem to soothe my weathered soul. I found Kent a handful of years back after I had returned from my first deployment and his videos gave me this wonderful, nostalgic feeling of being at home again when I felt like everything had changed in the world for me. Sometimes all you need in life is a cast-iron, Dutch oven, and a man of true hospitality to make you feel at home again. 15th STS

My family has been making monkey bread, which they call pull apart bread, for many many years since my childhood, for Christmas morning. I don't mind the recipe that is continually used, but a couple of years ago I began to realize there were other ways of making it. When suggesting it though, I am always told that if I want to try different stuff, I can make my own to have on the side. None of the recipes I have seen have really motivated me that much to do that, so I haven't, but now I see that Cowboy Kent is making monkey bread?! I am going to make it, for sure.

I first heard of monkey bread in the 1960s. Never did eat any though so I've never had a clear idea of what it actually is or how it's made; but, in my wildest dreams, I never imagined that these ingredients were in it and that was how it's made. It looks delicious. Now I've got 50-some odd years of catching up to do.
