Some people don't understand how hard it is being a teacher 🥺 It's a very emotional job. You deal with different students from different backgrounds. Some days you leave school with a smile and some days with tears in your eyes 😢 But the best part is seeing your students make something out of themselves and deep down in your heart you say to yourself "you did it" ❤️

So incredible the power of the spoken word. I am so glad that someone decided to look beyond. To look deeper at your potential and your heart. I teach gifted students from all backgrounds and appearances. If I have learned anything it is this- EVERY child has potential and abilities that can be nurtured and EVERY child has potential and abilities that can be squashed. I walk into teaching every day understanding that power and responsibility. Keep telling your story Jeremy. There are people who need to hear it!

I'm in tears from YOUR words! Thank you, Jeremy, for sharing your story and letting the world know that teachers/educators change lives. I too was changed and saved by one teacher. Although my story isn't your story, there are commonalities that cannot be ignored. A teacher took the time to make us feel worthy, special, heard, and just maybe they were right. I'm subscribing to hear more! Love what you are doing! I'm also adding this video to my virtual teacher's lounge. It's been rough going back to school virtually. It's hard enough keeping kids engaged while they are physically in the classroom. This new normal is tough on everyone - kids, parents, and teachers. Can't wait to share this with them because they need a little love and encouragement right about now. Thank you!

@@1jeremyanderson So many of our young black boys need to see you! Having a role model of the same race/gender is incredibly powerful and something they do not see a lot, unfortunately. It is also different seeing a successful black man in the real world versus a black educator. Two completely different worlds. They live in your world - the real world - not the school world. Our city is crumbling around us right now with the protesting, rioting, coronavirus, virtual school, etc. Louisville, KY. We are in the heart of incredible pain and unrest from the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. Breonna's death happened right here in Louisville. Not sure if you are aware of this tragedy. I wish you could come to Louisville to speak to our students and our teachers!

Hi there. I'm an educator in Durban, South Africa, and I teach Life Orientation to High School Girls from grade 8 to grade 12. During our lockdown our school was able to keep teaching our students through google classroom and zoom and I know how privileged we were to be able to do that. With so many other poorer schools who don't even have electricity and any kind of proper infrastructure for the teachers to teach their students. Most of their classes are 40 to 80 children in one class. I was really able to bring up important life issues in my lessons on zoom to show my girls that they must never take their education for granted. They must never come with an attitude of being entitled just because of their financial standing. This lockdown has been awful, but it's also been incredible, as I can see how my girls are really taking notice of what is going on in our country. They are finally aware of how fortunate they are in comparison to so many other students. And I have made a point of posting one of your motivational clips every day for each of my grades on google classroom and on our teachers' WhatsApp group and I want to say thank you for being real, for speaking the truth, for using your words to build, cos words have power and your words are very powerful.

Hi Jeremy, I am a substitute teacher, and I have experienced a lot of badly behaved students from kindergarten to college. I’m curious if you are a teacher? If not, what is your profession? Did you graduate from high school? Did you attend college?
@1jeremyanderson Жыл бұрын
Thank you for serving the youth. I am not a formal school teacher. I am a motivational speaker and CEO. I train others to become motivational speakers as well. I relate to many of those students because I was them. I faced many academic and behavioral challenges throughout elementary- high school. I was able to overcome my personal adversity and I did attend college. I obtained my bachelors and masters degrees.

Destroying money may be a crime. ... The general thinking seems to be “it's MY money, so I should be allowed to write on it, tear it up or burn it as a protest against the banking system if I want to.” But in fact, it's technically illegal to deface U.S. currency to the point at which it's rendered unusable Lock this idiot up!
