Jake was a big part of my life at 14-15 and so on. I watched every video, showed my dad how cool supermotos were, finally got my own dual sport at 15 a crf230l, then Jake released a video of him riding one! I was so pumped. Much love for Jake, glad to see he’s still doing well and happy, as he brought me much happiness and hours of enjoyment growing up.

Jake, you’re exactly right. This lever is not just for stunt riders. I recently setup my CRF450RL for single track with a Rekluse auto clutch. The Rekluse works great but the feel at the lever was a little too stiff for my tastes. I installed the RSC lever with easy pull and love it. Rekluse and RSC is a match made in heaven. The bike is now an off-road beast.
@adstryker50842 жыл бұрын
Yep. I ride a KTM 640 Adventure, geared up about 6% from stock to reduce RPMs on the highway. It has a Magura hydraulic clutch -- I didn't see an RSC lever for that application, but Midwest Mountain Engineering makes one that reduces lever effort by about 50% and roughly doubles the clutch engagement zone. Makes it a lot easier to ride low-speed single-track on a bike that's almost twice as big as a typical dirt bike and is geared about 50% higher than a typical big-bore enduro bike.
@mooiboyace3 жыл бұрын
This is already my favorite bike you ever owned .. only the DRZ and the Pig were close. I just love the idea of this, not overly big but a true lightweight, reliable riders bike.

I just got back from riding. I installed the RSC lever and G2 throttle tamer on my KDX220 that I'm using to learn how to ride. Wow, makes the bike controllable for me and makes clutch control fun. I would have ordered 2 of these levers had I known what I know now.

@bbevis23573 жыл бұрын
On my first motorcycle, I had an extremely hard time learning the clutch and nearly gave up on motorcycling. I was constantly stalling and was very uncomfortable stopping and starting. The bike had a bad on/off clutch with a narrow friction zone. (which I didn't know, and I later found out it had a carburetor issue, which also didn't help) I was so close to selling the bike, it was so clean and perfect, it had to just be me right? Well, I decided to replace the clutch lever and perch to try and make up for my lack of skill, knowing it wasn't a good strategy, and OMG as a noobie it made a massive difference. I could actually ride the bike now. I started enjoying the experience instead of dreading every stopsign and stoplight. It was the one thing that made me keep riding and now I'm on my 6th bike. Interpret the story as you wish, but in regards to replacing the lever and perch, it can absolutely make a big difference in providing more clutch control.

Stupid question but would it not be easier for the RSC to come with a solenoid or a physical switch for this sort of thing? It would cost them next to nothing and would give full stock functionality. I also wonder how difficult it would be to fabricate something like that yourself, but I don't have an RSC lever to try it out on account of being a poor boi. Either way, seems like a weird and annoying omission to me especially considering the price.
