Sorry guys but the stores in our area of NC, are GARBAGE!!! I hear some much of riders able to go into these big gear stores and are able to try on helmets of different brands. And not just freaking SHOEI. They have race suits and educated employees that know how to size folks up for all of their gear needs.
@Andy.H.H.6 жыл бұрын
Rocket asked about more stores and the company that owns Revzilla also owns Cycle Gear. Also, the Cycle Gear in my town has a good selection of gear and and friendly staff! I shop there when I'm not too lazy to just buy stuff online!

I have a set of the Street and Steel Oakland jeans, they are the BEST bang for buck I've found in a riding jean. Another element I like is the denim itself is very soft to the touch. Oh ya and the stretch they have is crucial, I'd never want another pair without it.

Hood jeans, (UK) offer CE live 2 armor in knees and hips, and full.length kevlar from hips to ankles, on all sides, good for about a 70 mph get off. They'll tailor jeans and twill pants to custom lengths. Cost generally around £170-230 with armor included. Best jeans I've ever bought...but lower production shop--not mass market, but definitely well made.

I really appreciate these videos, it is amazing how difficult it is to compile the information needed to make fair comparisons between the many products available. I think the reflective in the Rev'it jeans is worth mentioning, Klim and all of the others really need to incorporate this into their design, there's no reason not to. I would like to see a version that has a cuff that includes reflective all the way around the inside of the bottom ~2 inches of the leg. Also, the Rev-it has what looks to be the most robust seams (triple stitched), I wonder if the seams would be a weak point on something like the S&S Oakland in a real slide situation. Another couple of features that can be highlighted are reinforced belt loops/anchor points for jacket tethers, or jacket-to-pant zippers, if those are present on any of the jeans, and rubberized buttons and rivets, if present.

I wonder how these protective jeans compare to something like the Bohn armor system?
@RevZilla6 жыл бұрын
Bohn armor certainly is good for impact protection, but it has no real abrasion resistance. These motorcycle riding jeans generally have pockets for both knee and hip armor as well as materials that are abrasion-resistant (Kevlar/aramid, Cordura, UHMWPE). If wearing Bohn armor with regular cotton denim, you don't really get any abrasion resistance. You could easily wear looser riding jeans with Bohn armor instead of any armor included with the riding jeans though. Some people use the knee armor included in most riding jeans and pair them with padded/armored shorts for hip/thigh/tailbone protection. -DrewZilla

RevZilla shorter boots. Race boots are too cumbersome! But I’d like a casual looking boot with the same levels of protection that a race boot offers
@RevZilla6 жыл бұрын
You won't get full race boot protection in a short boot. You lose shin protection and the safe limiting of ankle flex that most race boots provide. I’m confused. I’m 5’11, 170 pounds and wear a 32. There is no way in hell that guy is 195 wearing a 32 and not dying.

Juice has a bigger torso and smaller waist, so he does actually wear 32s. -DrewZilla

The slim fits might look "too tight" on the muscular model like the comments are saying but if you're a 125lbs 5'6 guy like me, baggy ones would look just as bad and in this case the slim fits are your best bets. The point is it all depends on your particular body type.

These skinny jeans aren’t working for me. I’m an adult. Family. Kids. Career. I don’t need my junk pushed up. These are jeans not spandex.
