I started playing around champions of kamigawa.. been hooked ever since.. but went through about a 6 year stint of divorce and other things after getting out of the army so I’m just now getting back into it.. ravnica was always my favorite set it’s so awesome to be getting back into magic and this set to be coming out at the same time. Meant to be! I walked into a local comic store with a friend, and a beacon of light was pulsating. Upon further inspection it was a display for MTG. I started playing with a friend of mine that day and he was the only person I knew that played and the only person I would play with from the mid 90’s to early 2000’s. I would later go on to sale an amazing collection for skateboard money in my late teenage years. I have been kicking myself ever since. I have recently bought 4 booster boxes trying to start a new collection but I can never get back what once was. Coincidentally enough I did this after watching one of your videos. One of my best friends in Jr high got me and several friends into it. We would play afterschool a few days a week and sometimes during clubs. Unfortunately, I lost contact with most of them and the few I still talk to don't have much of an interest in it anymore. However, my brother and I got into it at the same time completey by coincidence and I still play with him all the time. Plus I've made new friends to play with. Got into Magic because I wanted something that felt "older" than Pokemon. My friends didn't catch on, but my cousins were playing on their own as I'd soon find out. They put me onto different strategies past the beginner deck stage and got my brother and I into buying packs and hitting LGSs. Diggin' the channel.
