I bought three of each do a psudo-sealed upgrade to my guild kits for my play group. Out of 15 packs, we pulled 3 mythics, which happened to be Aurelia and two Arclight Phoenixes. There were a few other goodies. I think these are neat for those of us who want to make a budget standard deck in our favorite colors.

Yeah they seem like semi decent packs. I guess if you're willing to play golgari and not about buying and ordering online, it's worth it to buy 2-3. Way more worth it than that 40-50 deck builder tool kit.

I got some of these today and pulled the assassin’s trophy from the Golgari one. Best part from this set for me was when prerelease and i pulled Etrata, the silencer as my promo and Lazav, the multifarious was in the first booster pack of the guild box for Dimir so far i am loving this set

Vraska, Golgari Queen is my favorite from this set followed by Lich and Etrata. These theme packs are good to play sealed themed tournaments, or if you want to narrow your search for a certain rare or mystic... it might be better if they put 2 rares instead of one

Chris Hansen She's easy to get out and if you can get to plus 9, it's basically actual gg. Not just oh I swarmed my field with trample effect monsters or something. She works well with lots of these other cards being released. She's not 'op' like metabreaking but if you're playing in a friendly amateur setting, she's definitely one of the strongest card you could get on the field.

@@madhatten00 Well, in an amatuer setting perhaps.. But the fact that you have to lose something to gain something without there being many good aristocat effects makes her less appealing. Her - 3 can be a bit narrow at times, but good. And you really cant judge planeswalkers on their ultimate ability, and even if you get to that point, youre a bit sad that you sacrificed your smaller dudes to draw a card and now you just need that one extra guy on the battlefield to end the game. Idk, shes fine, narrow, but definetely not op

Chris Hansen Maybe unless u got something like a token engine. Sacrificing tokens is easy lol. Oh wait the new cards are all about summoning sparoling tokens with everything spell you play. Creatures, sorceries come with create a sparoling eff, etc. Yeah the devs built this engine to go work with her.

These are $7.49 at Gamestop right now. Target will likely price match if you don't have one. There is an online only coupon for Gamestop for $10 off $9.99 or more, but with cheap shopping it only ends up being about $5 off. May be worth some folks checking out, but there doesn't seem to be a way to pick your guild, so you may have to take them back to your local Gamestop if you want a different kind than you get.

I'd have to say that my favorite card is Risk Factor. It's such a unique mechanic, and a good card on top of that. At best you deal 8 damage to your opponent (with jump-start), and at best, you draw 6 cards (also with jump start). I don't even play red usually, but I picked one up during my prerelease and had a blast!

I really enjoy Omnispell Adept. It’s quite the card for commander to cast a sorcery or instant for 3 and it doesn’t require specific mana besides blue. Just is a fun addition

Except Trophy costs less mana and an instant.

Vindicate is not in modern. And like leress said, Trophy costs 1 less and is an instant. It may drop but not by much when it floods the market and will rise again after it's not printed anymore.

From what I have played from Pre-release and Arena my current favorite card is Devious Cover-Up....I found running two of them with good draw luck infinite deck....plus Exiles instead of graveyards their card....just a great combination

After purchasing several Dimir ones, you can kinda target the rares you're looking to pull. They should really include a foil land or something, the 9 uncommons aren't worth another $3 compared to a booster

My favorite card is nightveil sprite , for a 2 mana cost early flier with the ability to reliably surveil for whispering snitch, dimir spybug, and thoughtbound phantasm its great for how much it does

They say on the back they make a good starter deck, just add 25 lands. As for the code, the fine print says one per MTGA acct. And each pack seems like the same/similar from the prerelease kits minus the promo, but each one is definitely different. My favorite guilds card is definetly Vraska, and I hope I pull one soon! I love golgari, and plan on making several decks in it :)

So, I just picked up 4 of these packs. 2 Golgati and 2 Izzet. I got a Vraska, an Assassins Trophy in the Golgari ones. BUT.... in the Izzet ones I got a DREAM EATER (which is a Dimir card with the Dimir logo) what craziness!!!

Nearly 50k. My favourite card in Guilds of Ravnica card is "Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice" because i scored 3 of them on pre-release weekend including a foil Aurelia, pretty stoked. So I'm in the middle of constructing a Boros Angel lifelink deck with 4 copies of Resplendent Angel, 3 copies of Lyra and 3 copies of Shalai.

I just love march of the multitudes. You can just play it at the end step of the opponent, have an instant board presence, have an anthem effect or two and flat out win the game on the spot. What's not to love about that? Btw selesnya is my favorite color combination 😁

Current favourite is legion warboss! Got a foil in my fat pack and he single handedly got me top 3 last FNM! On the topic of the boosters you get more cards for your £ but less rares. Good if you need the uncommons for your guild. Saw a chap pull a Ral, Izzit viceroy at my last FNM from one of these! So good cards to be had :) Keep up the good work

i think these are pretty cool. i got two of them. they are pretty fun. i purchased a GoR plainswalker deck and two of these. i used the two boosters to do slight edits to the theme packs and it worked out great. perfect fun if you have plenty of land laying around. i say go for it. fun, inexpensive, great way to have fun and get your friends into the game too

You mentioned the smooth feeling of the cards. I noticed this with the two theme packs I opened as well. Compared side by side with identical cards from regular boosters they are obviously lacking the texture of a normal magic card. Pretty disappointed with the theme packs- they don't feel like real cards.

Favorite card is probably Mnemonic Betrayal. Never had the money for a yawgmoths will in EDH, but it’s essentially one but for your opponents graveyards- so I’ll take it! Not only that, but the reprint of chromatic lantern makes my Atraxa superfriends deck rather happy

Find and Finality I use it with Saprolings as long as I have either Slimefoot or Poison Tip Archer on the field I can finish off an opponents life and nuke his creatures in one awesome move.

Thousand year storm is absolutely my favorite. The combos you can get in edh with mana geyser, card draw, and x cost/big spells has so many possibilities. I'm definitely building a Riku deck around it using the prerelease foil I got. Also Ral cause he looks like Ben Shapiro.
