New tech discovered: On certain Fortified weeks you can drop Mindbender and Inescapable Torment to get more damage above 4 targets for a small loss below that. This lets you get Screams of the Void AND Mastermind which can be good on certain dungeons like Blackrook, Everbloom, Throne, or Waycrest where low target count damage is less of a priority.

1. Does anyone here actually like playing with Mindbender? Personally I hate the playstyle. 2. Does anyone prefer DA over Voidform? Again, me personally, voidform is not only thematically cooler, but feels better to play around PI as well. 3. Why did PI get changed to 15s of 20% haste? When they could have just changed the way Twins of the sun priestess works? (I.E. give an ally 50% of PI's effectiveness or whatever the ideal number would be). If they felt the external really was too strong, then nerf the external part? Not the spell itself. 4. As shadow, this M+ season more than any other, I feel like our AOE options are quite limited in comparison to other burst melee classes (DH, WW, Ret, Outlaw, Fury, enhance). There are a TON of mobs in every one of these dungeons that are just passive cleave damage resulting in my DoT's from shadow crash and throughput from psychic link feeling COMPLETELY ineffective. (I.E. the low max HP swarm mobs are dead almost instantly from an eye beam from the DH or an odyns fury from the warrior). To give an example, of the low max HP mobs: - Toxic Saurids from Ataldazar - Baby spiders in BRH - Fel Bats in BRH - ANY spiteful week (Am I going to use shadow crash on 5 spitefuls when the next pack is about to get pulled? HELL NO) - Weak plants in everbloom - Blood elementals in DHT - Every single small ooze and weak servant in WCM - Unstable corruptions in the final gauntlet of ToT - Oozes before Blight of galakrond (Cleaved off of the Risen dragons) My point is it seems like poor game design that shadow priest has their entire AOE kit linked to putting a 20+second DoT on 8 mobs and then using a ST rotation to kill them. When the number of low max HP mobs I just listed above exist in these dungeons. Any burst AOE class that can just press an on-demand AOE CD is going to look 10x better than a shadow priest in any of these dungeons as I'm sure you already know. Sp mains calling to remove Twins since 10.0. The devs are mocking us at this point. We need N'Zoths blessing to manipulate them and make us great again. Sp is literally god spec, controlling the STRONGEST and most fearful power in the cosmology, yet the devs keep us from our true potential because they are hating.

I totally agree with what you said and in my opinion if we can compete again in higher keys and feel our dps can be seen it should be Mind Sear specifically in Fortified key i feel like if you miss your shadow crash and mass pulling after you lose all your overral damage and if there is tank in bolstering who moves alot to kite them you might miss 2 or 3 mobs that's sad reality for sp Enjoyers

Psychic Voice carries pugs, I would recommend everyone running pugs to run short fear because you can clutch for your group. Don't see it recommended enough but it helps immensly esp on everbloom or rise where you want to pull big

Your videos really help a lot as a struggling shadow priest, is there any chance you are going to make a video about rotation on these builds? I try and try again and even with 477 iLvl I lack in overall damage and it feels like I am missing something with how the class pops off.

Thoughts on the triple idol build that we've used this expansion? Ive still been using it so Im curious to see how well it preforms against these 3. I feel like my damage has been good but if it can be better with these maybe its time for me to stop being stubborn and try them. Thanks Publik!

This was a recent update where we tested that dropping Idol of Y'Shaarj in keys lets you talent into Insidious Ire instead of Malediction to get into Idol of C'Thun. So roughly speaking Insidious Ire > Idol of Y'Shaarj so the swap is basically optimal anytime you are fighting more than 3 targets

Can someone remind me what the problem with Mind Sear was that got it removed? I played during DF S1 and really enjoyed it. Also dark ascencion is SO BORING i wish it was removed to make ve the only option

I dont have time to cast this shit. Funny is that balance druids got dot spread in druid tree and we got it in shadow behind 3 talent points. Peak blizzard xD

Yeah i think its time for it to get scrapped/reworked. Feels so lackluster and inconsequential.
