Nasi Lemak is Malaysia's national dish. You can find it in almost every street corner, night market (pasar malam), food centre, or hawker centre.
You can get cheap versions for RM1.20 right up to bougee RM250.
Most are absolutely delectable but a few shine.
The highlight of today's foodie adventure is to one of my favourite nasi lemak F&B in not just Kuala Lumpur (KL) but all of Malaysia.
Village Park Nasi Lemak is a hallmark of culinary perfection.
I've been frequenting this amazing outlet for more years than I care to admit. I've been eating here before it became insta-famous.
I introduced Village Park to mym a number of years back and it has also become her favourite nasi lemak in all the WORLD!
5 Jalan Ss 21/37 Damansara Utama
Petaling Jaya 47400 Malaysia
It is out of the KL downtown but you can easily (and cheaply) catch a grab and have yourself a nasi lemak which will be your new benchmark.
After breakfast, we headed back to our hotel and picked up some of my favourite Malaysian snacks. Curry Puff. We even ordered a variety which I have never had before.
When night falls, we all head to Pavilion Shopping Centre to have our final dinner in Malaysia. Bak Kut Teh is a family favourite and usually one we have for breakfast. However, I took the family to a place which I've been going to for years. It's damn expensive, but for convenience, location and variety, you can't go wrong!
Thank you all SO much for joining us on this amazing foodie adventure around Malaysia. Only a few more pods before I start a brand new travel series.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, I watch too much TV, eat and drink too much to be a productive member of society. I have an insatiable craving to taste, smell and enjoy everything life has in store for me.
I have been bitten by the wanderlust bug and find nothing more thrilling than packing my bag and jumping on a plane to any far flung destination.

It was a mistake to watch this while hungry. I will definitely add Village Park to my list when I visit Malaysia later this year.

Thank you SO much. You have been such a strong and long time follower. I am truly thankful for your support. The sub count is going up slowly, but at least it's heading in the right direction. Apparently the algorithm has changed again and makes it harder for people to find content from smaller channels. But, I enjoy creating content, and that's all that matters. :-)

Nasi Lemak, Laksa and Chicken rice, we just can’t get same quality one in Aus. Same like Ramen in Aus. Love Singaporean and Malaysian food. 😋

Sigh, I sadly agree with you. No matter how generous the portions are here in Australia, they do NOT come close to the flavours of what we can get back in Malaysia. I ate SO much ramen when I was in Japan.

I hate you... Lol! You know what I miss which I know we can't get in Australia? Nasi Lemak goreng! Sambal sotong is some of my fave lauk. Man, those road side curry puff carts they're so retro! Gosh, I saw the jemput jemput... I miss that so much. What the hell, bihun curry puff? There's a first time for everything. Man, that's some classy BKT you guys were having. Do you remember that soy milk + grass jelly in Singapore is called MICHAEL JACKSON ? 😅 I might head there to try a dry BKT. Never had it before. I hate the vinegar version of that ter kah.

Hey Tim, sorry I didn't watch the premiere of your video, it clashed with the solar eclipse. But as soon as the eclipse finished, I was watching you devour that fried chicken. One question about sardines curry puff, so its curried flavoured sardines ? Sorry can't get my head around that flavour. Anyway, enjoyed your video as always. Erika from sunny Perth 😎

Don't apologise. Truthfully, I actually forgot about the premiere as well! Infact, like you, I was distracted by the solar eclipse. HAHA Holy moly, I want that fried chicken. Seriously, I am considering flying back to KL just for a day to eat that and then fly home. hmm...should I do it? LOL

By the way, the sardine is actually tomato sauce flavoured. It's a very nostalgic flavour from a well known Malaysian brand called 'Ayam'. Everytime I taste the tomato sardine, it reminds me of mum making sardine jaffles. haha

@TimEatsandTravels Hey Tim, since I've never had that fried chicken before, you can fly to KL for the fried chicken 🍗 as long as I can tag along. 😋 Haha....oh so it's tomato sauce sardines in a puff. I actually grew up eating sardines in tomato sauce, must be an Asian thing. But I've not had it in a curry puff. Erika from sunny Perth 😎

Food is very subjective. I know a lot of people like this Village Park Nasi Lemak. Personally I think this nasi lemak is overrated and over-priced. The fried chicken is too dry and too salty. Overall, it kind of suck. There's no mouth explosion as described.

I am sorry you had a negative experience. Did you raise it with the staff? All the times I've gone, the ayam goreng (fried chicken) have been absolutely spot on. Moist and tender meat with a perfectly seasoned coating.

@@TimEatsandTravels Unfortunately yes, but as they are doing roaring business, I guess 1 person's opinion remain as 1 person's opinion. But it's ok, maybe just not for me. Food and taste is, after all, very subjective.
