Brookstone has always been (IMO) an upper scale blue collar working community. It's not very big, and I bet most people living there at least know of one another. Seems a lot of Police Officers live there. It's located in a good area and secluded from other neighborhoods. I like this neighborhood.

I like Brookstone too. So many great values off Sunset Harbor Rd right now. New construction and older homes.

How does New South Bridge community compare to Mill Creek cove?

My opinion......I was in Mill Creek Cove back in 2009 when there was only 1 house there. You can see it in the video as the house on the corner on the 2nd left turn (large brick home across from the clubhouse). Later, a 2nd house was built that you can also see in the video.....the first left turn, 2nd house from the corner (White house) with large front porch. Those 2 larger styled homes were originally going to be built in this neighborhood. Mostly "custom" built homes. What you see now are much more "cookie cutter" styled homes. Mass produced, less custom. Not to offend people now living there but, the original intent was to have Mill Creek filled with larger custom built homes like Winding River, and St James. However, if given the choice between New Bridge and Mill Creek, I'd choose Mill Creek for it's windy, slight hilly roadways.

I want to add, back in 2008, the housing market crashed and a lot of builders went bankrupt, including the likes of Avalon of the Carolinas, Mill Creek, and Sea Watch to name a a few, Sometime in the early 2010's, some big time investors from Wall Street swooped in and purchased these foreclosed properties from the banks. What you're seeing now is the result of those purchases. They got some spec home builders such as DR Horton to build a ton of standard homes within those communities. The only community that really bounced back on it's own was Riversea Plantation. The residents who own the smaller patio homes in the front section of Riversea Plantation are the ones responsible for saving that entire community. Riversea is now flourishing with larger custom built homes. Back in 2010, I could have purchased (from a selection of several) lake front property in Riversea. At that time, there were (3) exceptionally nice lake front lots (out of a dozen or so) that were bank owned and were offered for a mere $25k each. I opted to purchase an Ocean front 2 br/2 ba condo in South Myrtle instead. So, with stating this, I just want people reading this to know, I've been scouring this area since late 2008 and I saw so much back then, and since.
