4:34 It's a technique that's used by some official NES games too, like the Mega Man games, Super Mario Bros 2, and others. To achieve more colors you basically stack two or more sprites on top of each other. The extra color might be its own sprite that's stacked on top.

Nalleland is such an incredible game! I wish they’d pick it back up and make it longer! Even if some other dev made more levels I’d be so happy!

They are overlapping sprites to get more color. They did that in SMB2 as well.

F-FF can be found here forums.nesdev.org/viewtopic.php?p=212598#p212598 its the third attachment, the screenshots for the game are wrong on the post though.

It's sometimes unfair how the tubes work. Tubers with tons of subscribers put out mediocre content while creators with barely any subs put out the better stuff. Found a lot of KZbinrs who put out excellent videos yet no subscribers. However give it some time, let Captain Jack save a life... or three and he shall earn those subscribers.

100 percent agree! I hope a hacker or the dev picks it back up! It has so much potential! Maybe my favorite homebrew I’ve ever played

It reminds me a little of Bubba n Stix for the Genesis - I’m almost certain that was an inspiration for the game.

Battle Kid is inspired by I wanna be the guy.

You should make a video about the Pokémon mystery dungeon games, similar to your star fox video!

Battle kid and project blue are both very similar and very hard. But I will say that they’re extremely fair. If you die it’s because you messed up.

I have bother versions of Battle Kid: Fortress of Peril. Version 1.000 (so hard it challenges the gods) and version 1.100 (slightly easier).

The battle kid looks amateurish when you look at the main character. anything that resembles a person looks super bad.
