Alot of us weren't around long enough to have our very own games made for the nes back in the 80s, but that's what I like about NesMaker because the community is great and it gives you the chance to feel like an nes game developer like its still the 80s, this is far out

Super Bat Puncher looks AMAZING for a homebrew. Game engine, art style, and music are all great, especially for as old as this is. If it had some more levels it would be a classic.
@SecondOpinionGames1 Жыл бұрын
I was hoping to find it finished so bad. It would have been one of the best games of the system. 😃

Alas, it will apparently forever remain a demo. Tragic.

I’ve played a ton of these homebrews lately and there are some really good ones (even before NESMaker.) Kudos to the programmers!

Imagine the skill to make a game that it took teams of people to make in the 80s.

Micro Mages is definitely one of the best NES homebrews ever made. And, one of the best NES games period.

STING is a version of Thrust. You may not know it because it was originally for the BBC B then the Spectrum, old British micros from the '80s. Brilliant game.

I adore Battle Kid. At least to me the start of the game feels a bit more like a troll, and then once you get into the groove alongside the game it feels like it's all on you. That presuppose a little bit that you sometimes need to walk in/out of a screen over and over so you have time to understand the room cycle.Very tight controls coupled with low to no bugs. I know the difficulty feels steep getting into it. But you can learn all the patterns, it's never more than you can handle in a single life, with some practice. Good luck to anyone who gets into it! ^- ^

It might be somewhere in the comments already, but Morphcat games who published micro mages had a kickstarter last year for a 3 game multigame cart with micromages, some bubble game, and a fantastic joust/megaman style game called spacegulls

You don't break up the syllable, and stretch it out at the end when you pronounce Ninja Gaiden. Why is it so hard for anyone to pronounce things without sounding like a complete goober?

Meh. None of these games looked that great. I'll admit the Sonic one was somewhat impressive for an 8bit version but then, why not just play the original?

It’s fun to play these dmakes. It’s neat to see what they can push out of the system 40 years later.
