i must say the spear is perfect on cyno! since his best team comp is a quickbloom team, that immediately uses three different elements (electro, dendro, hydro) and the 240 em on r5 is just massive for higher hyperbloom damage as well as for aggravates. also, that high crit rate is so valuable. if you cant get his signature weapon, i must say this is the next best option for him

With how restrictive the new battle pass weapons are, it really seems that those weapons may be made specifically for future characters. Will most likely increase value later on, I guess for now some of the older ones may be better for now characters though. I'm excited to see which new characters will suit the new battle pass weapons!

One thing that needs to be noted is that Wolf Fang crit passive wont stack off-field. So it doesnt work as well on Kaeya or Xingqiu

Wait...seriously? That's quite frustrating considering I picked it specifically with Xingqiu in mind. I guess I should have assumed that was the case since it doesn't state that it doesn't trigger while off field but still annoying. That said if you burst before using your skill it should be relatively easy to weave in normal attack a couple times to stack up the passive very quickly if you need to. At R5 even just 2 normal attacks should get you 8 crit rate if not the full 16 depending on if the exact timing of how fast the burst hits hit. Considering imo the main selling point is the 32% burst damage increase that's not too bad at all still. At r5 with the passive you're looking at more crit rate than Primordial Jade Cutter with an extra 32% burst damage trading off compared to ~300 attack. Not entirely sure that works out in favor of the Wolf Fang but it's a damn good option at the very least when you consider comparing a 4 star BP weapon vs a premium 5 star weapon banner weapon. The 32% skill damage is also not nothing considering how hard Xingqiu's E can hit. Edit- It's 0.5% less crit rate altogether vs PJC, not more. My bad.

@@someonesomewhere8658 Depends on the timing of stacks compared to Xingqiu's burst hits imo. If the 0.1 seconds is enough that you can get 2 stacks per burst wave it's fairly easy to weave in 2 normal attacks after activating his burst and then using his skill (n1 > skill > n1 > swap). IF you somehow get all 4 stacks from a single wave of hits (with c6) that'd be even more insane but I think that'd be too fast. Even then the big value is honestly the flat 36% burst damage bonus at R5, even without the full crit rate from the passive. There's no alternative option for a weapon that stacks raw bonus DMG% as far as I'm aware, let alone that much with no trigger requirements and with a crit rate main stat. With the full passive you're also looking at more crit rate than Primordial Jade Cutter which is largely just a crit rate stat stick by comparison, though you do lose 2-300 attack in that comparison too due to the bonus HP to attack conversion.

I chose the sword for my Ayaka, she’s been on Amenoma since I couldn’t get her signature the 2x I tried since her initial release and a rerun. Her burst does deal a ton of damage and hits multiple times, so… yeah. Could also be good for Xingqiu I guess, if you can build enough recharge to where he doesn’t need to use his skill twice to get it again after CD.

Moga, bloom doesn't self apply dendro. It does dendro damage, but that's different from being applied with it. Also, Serpent Spine is simply better, so no to the weapon.

Yeah, that claymore really only has one thing going for it: It's something other than a sword. Finally something besides the Debate Club. But for the rest, high base attack, low crit is meh. And the whole infused mechanic is also meh, right down to the "it's going to be weaker for Benny's teammates" bit. Still will be the 3rd weapon I get, after the sword and catalyst, because of the club factor.

Wolf fang on Al haitham works very well, and the sac jade works great with on field baizhu, the HP helps both his shield and healing, while the em increases his spread DMG. I currently use the sac jade on baizhu and for me it's been a very nice addition.

My future Focalors will be slapping for 102% E damage when I R5 my wolf-fang on her, just hit R2 today & it's already equivalent to a 2/2 golden troupe/noblesse set, plus the crit stacking. Using on my C6 Kaeya at the moment & no issues stacking crit especially with Chongyun or Shenhe to buff Kaeya's on-field viability.

The Ballad of the Fjords is cracked Hu Tao. At R5 it's almost on-par with r1 Homa and since it gives crit rate AND em it's super easy to build around. Only thing is it's grey and blue which don't really fit her so I'll personally be wishing on Homa next time to complete my favorite character uwu, but for players who don't spend aside from welkin and BP it's a great alternative

I just got the sword a couple days ago, and I can confirm that it's pretty good on him. I also swap it to Keqing every now and then, since I don't have a lot of CRIT on her, but she has a good chunk of CRIT DMG (artifact luck has been garbage these last few months). Honestly, it's not too bad on her, either. But once I can get her CRIT to a better level, I'm switching her back to Lion's Roar.

The Lance should be fantastic for Hu Tao in a Hu Tao / Zhongli / Xingqiu / Yelan team if you don't have Homa. Though I'm not 100% sure if it's better than just running Dragon's Bane R5, particularly as it'll take 5 versions to get R5. The 1h sword seems designed to be absolutely insane for Xingqiu as well, assuming you can get enough energy for him without needing an ER% weapon. I picked it up with that in mind on my Hu Tao team with C1+ Yelan able to double skill to help lower Xingqiu's energy requirements. That said I haven't personally done the math yet to see if it's worthwhile compared to just running Sac Sword and lowering your ER% elsewhere as much as possible to optimize your crit stats elsewhere.

No, if you have R5 Dragon's bane vs R5 new Bp lance. In paper Bp lance is more consistent because of crit substat. But remember that Dragon's bane increases damage affected by pyro or hydro by 36% and 200+ em that is huge for hu tao vape. I guess that sword for xingqui is OP tho.

the true best wielder for the sword is ayato, ayato is an on field dps, plus if u use his burst with his kit this sword is basically his bis 4 star, its weird just how nobody talks about ayato with this sword his skill hits multiple times his burst hits multiple times he benefits from the crit stacks because he can gain 8% crit at r1 for like most of his set up the damage bonus buffs his burst and skill which also helps his damage the crit from the weapon allows you to run more crit damage on ayato too its very good for ayato mains who dont have his signature.
