Best New for 2024 Roller Coasters

According to RCDB, 236 different roller coasters opened up across the globe in 2024. Most of those were smaller kiddie coasters, but there were some notable coasters that opened, particularly in Europe. I was fortunate enough to ride most of the big ones that debuted, so in this video, I will rank the top 15 new-for-2024 roller coasters that I experienced.

Iron Menace is the only one on this list that I rode, so that wins for me by default. Rides like Voltron and Hyperia are super high on my bucket list though!

2024 really was the UK's year for new/refurbished coasters.

I think my favorite new one for this year has to be iron menace. Is it shaky? Yes. I can’t deny that. But does it have great pacing and also some good elements and forces? Absolutely. The pacing is why it’s my favorite dive period.

Rode voltron and hyperia, wonderful rides, but I bet the best one for me will be TT2 (will ride this year)

What's sad is that I was at Cedar Point this summer, and I don't even remember seeing TT2 even though I took pictures and video of it. It just didn't stick in my memory for some reason.

Surprisingly, I experienced 0 new for 2024 attractions. My tentative 2025 plans have me experiencing: -Fire Runner at Lost Island -AlpenFury at Canada's Wonderland -Rapterra at Kings Dominion -BBW:TWR at BGW

If I was owned a park, I would absolutely stay away from B&M until they go full 1996; back in they were ultra smooth. Its beyond me why so many parks continue to deal with them...Coaster companies like Vekoma are kicking butt; profiling that puts B&M to shame...I heard that Phoenix Rising is rough. Imma "go out on a limb" and say that Rapterra and the new Big Bad Wolf will be rough as well

I have been on three of these coasters. Hyperia is my favourite but it’s not as good as it could have been. The first drop looks better than it feels. I prefer the first drop on the Big One and - probably my favourite first drop - Iron Rattler. My 10 year old loved Minifigure Raceway, I’m over 50 and can handle extreme coasters but sustained backwards travel - even on family coasters - makes me sick. We rode Gold Rush last week - on both cycles - and I actually enjoyed it.

The only new for 2024 coasters I experienced were Bobcat & Snoopy’s Tenderpaw Racer since I wasn’t able to ride TT2 at Cedar Point (but will this year). By default, Bobcat was the best of the 2

Shame I couldn’t ride The Wave but that section of Drayton Manor was closed when I visited last week. I don’t need to ride it to say it is the most extreme family coaster in the UK. Like Mandrill Mayhem it has a 1.2m (48”) height requirement. But three loops! But perhaps Storm Chaser at Paulton’s still wins: it has a height requirement of just 1m (40”). Four year olds can ride it. And if it spins right on those low helixes it offers Ride to Happiness intensity (for a very short moment).

Was a bad year for me riding the new coasters only got to do good gravy. the 3 looper was closed, TT2 we all know and the one in atlanta well that wasn't open yet. Well there is always next year at least this year i'm doing the top 2 of the list. o i did get to do fire in the hole.

I was not disappointed with Voltron but I was so sad I didn't love it ,I just found it to intense my number 1 is batman at Warner Madrid , Voltron is amazing and I rode it with a non coaster rider😂 the backwards launch broke his brain temporarily 😂

The only 24 built coasters I got this year were Penguin Trek and Phoenix Rising. They were both a disappointment imo. B&M has fallen off in the land of B&M's ( Florida).

I dunno why parks continue to deal with B&M. Their reputation is shot far as I'm concerned. All of the future new B&Ms will be rough. Meanwhile Montu is perfectly fine

I rode menace, and it was mid. Barely top 5 at DORNEY. A park with a mid collection.

These rides look incredible. In February, I am making my first trip to Fiesta Texas. I am simply wondering if I should rope drop WW first.

That is my recommendation at that park. It has terrible capacity and you can get a few quick rides if you go back there first.

With Alpen Express Enzian I think the decorative wood ledgers look really bad. The new track uses Mack Rides newer powered coaster track design where the power rail is underneath the track. This moves the rail really far away from the decorative wood ledgers... Just looks stupid.
