For the flakes, before you cleanse your face, take a tiny bit of jojoba or rosehip seed or other oil (not coconut) and rub just on the flakey bits. It works! And it causes no irritation and doesn't encourage more flakes like rubbing the area with exfoliators can do.

There’s this app I’ve seen that will show you the quality of the ingredients in your sunscreen and their effectiveness in protecting UVA/UVB rays and gives you a score from 1-100 for its overall congruency with your skin biome. It starts with a K I think but I can’t remember the name for the life of me right now. I’d start there, you scan the barcode of products and I think you can just search products also through it

I most definitely want to see a sunscreen wrap up. I can't seem to find one that is both good under makeup however light/heavy makeup but also can be worn by itself without turning me into a grease ball. Ideally it should be easily available, bit runny and decently priced (I know, I ask a lot).

For people with extremely dry skin a powder cleanser can be stripping. I recommend a Konjac sponge for super gentle but effective physical exfoliation.

Superrrrr dry skinned, tret using gal here- I’ve been loving the keys soulcare be luminous exfoliator (also a powder). I can get away with 2-3x a week. Also, u must try the Centellian 24 madeca cream!!! It’s truly lifechanging for extra dry skin plus it makes even the worst foundations/spfs look stunning!

I think sunscreen is hard to pick out a good one to use for every circumstance. For instance, you can tolerate a greasier texture if you are going to be in the water all day versus being in a park.

Kelly, just picked up the target brand perfume the finery I’m musk body mist. Love it! It reminds me of a perfume I had loved 15 years ago. I was able to spray it lightly and walk around the store. Before I left I smelled my wrist and it was lovely light sent that brought me back and the price was excellent. This will be my summer go to spray. Thank you for the recommendation ❤

Have you tried the Relove lip gloss (minis) for under $2? Those are so pigmented and so comfortable while lasting a long time without having to reapply as much as most glosses. Tati recommended them and they are as good as she says. Dermalogical and Well People (Elf’s more high end brand that’s supposed to be natural) charcoal powder cleanser are other options and they are exceptionally good. You need like a pea size amount (especially with the Well People brand) to get such a luxurious thick lather and it cleanses and gently exfoliates so you can use it daily without worrying about irritating your skin. I am really loving these powder cleansers, especially for traveling. Pacifica Warrior Pore Scrub is also a good one I never hear people talk about, but it too has really good reviews- for those needing a gentle, clean exfoliator. The pink powders and lilac powders are really nice and can work on fair, light and deep skin tones without leaving a pink cast… if it’s a good powder. I thought it would be more for fair skinned people, but it has the same effect for deeper skin tones because it’s so light of a consistency that it doesn’t give the powdery appearance at all, and if you do get even the slightest tint because you over applied, then a setting spray over top kills the tint. Revolution has good ones, Elf has good ones, nearly every brand has the colored powders in these very pale pink and purple shades that give almost a brightened and filtered effect to the skin.

Do you have to scrape the top off the Essence pure nude blush pan before getting to the good stuff? I tried it and it seemed dry and not at all as smooth as their pure nude highlighter, and to me seemed to be exactly the same as if you were to add a highlighter to your blush- also emphasized pores and texture because of the micro shimmer. I see there are those influencers who are loving it, but most had the same experience I did, so I’m just wondering if it’s like the Elf baked highlighters where the top has hard pan and needed to be scraped off to get to the good stuff?
