The reason they weren’t flat is because they are more than likely designed to fit a motorcycle. You could have used the bottom part of your factory clamps and got some longer bolts. It would have also given you 1/2” more bar rise. Did you try fitting them with the bottom clamp?

They can but you might need to do some customizing like I had to do. 😅🤘🏼

Are these just for appearance or do they provide a different riding angle? Will can am brand heated grips work with this setup?

It did give me a slightly different angle, which is slightly closer to me. But... that's not why I did it to be "frank". I did it primarily for the looks. I think you can use heated grips with these, since you can use factory grips with these, it should be the same thing. 🤘🏼

Yeah. Yesterday my arm hit the throttle too and i almost loaded the outlander on the trunk of my car... looking for more rise without it coming from the risers.

those 7/8 to 1 1/8 adapters are meant to attach to the bottom peice of your factory bar clamps you didnt need to grind them

I wish I would've known that. ProTapper was the one who told me they would need to be modified at my own risk. They mentioned that they're designed for a different setup even though they're universal. But thanks for letting me know. 🙂 I'll make sure to pass that knowledge on to others. 🤘🏼
