That's just how this game works go 1-6 the next day expect to be on fire where every pass tip shot and save goes you're way. Champs is a bit more balance, rivals shit that's just rigged to go 50/50.

😂😂😂 Me too! I tried playing Champs this weekend and lost the first 5 games I played! Three of them were OT losses and the worst part was I was up by at least two in every one of those losses! I never ended up playing all twenty games but did finish with a 5-6-2 record… which I was content with considering how it started and the fact that this was only my second attempt at champs this year!

Surprised no one has mentioned 89 Potvin. I believe he is the best left handed d man in the game. Also has a great shot. Scored like 6 goals for me this hit champs with the Heatseeker ability.

Star of the month Petterson has been such a good center for me, he's a bit smaller but his gold unstopabble force makes him cary the puck so easy and with next gen Bedard or Ovi GoG I've been filling the net!!

Got Jack Hughes X Factor at launch (so untradeable) and can confirm he’a very good. My short story : Upgraded him right away to 83 overall (had HUT green points from preorder) and he’s been great since day one. He was at 87 for a while but I just upgraded to 89 and. And can’t wait to see how he’ll perform now. Side fact : I’m a Tampa fan but my dad is a fan of New Jersey so I’ll take the W.

I pulled the Oettinger card, was super excited. He plays fine but base Vas is still better. Im 20 and 20 with Otter and 64-20 with Vas. Hard to deny those results.

Good stuff sleeves. I’d put the 88 MacKinnon one spot higher. He’s my top right handed winger and an absolute weapon. Super shifty and his shot is almost automatic. He’s better than my GoG Lemieux.

Gretzky (definitely play him at centre for the next few months) trumps Lemieux so far this year (which I never would’ve thought based on prior years). Hughes is beast mode until the bigger players get better cards. Crosby too, for whatever reason, he’s solid AF!

I play online vs only. I use Sabres as if they are my HUT team. I really enjoy Tage. Gold puck on a string plus silver edges one tee stick em up unstoppable force and big rig. I home think that is one of the best gold/silver combos from any team. Wish Dhalin had some defensive abilities but oh well. I think he should at least have stick em up or the pass interception one. Gold elite edges on a D man is pretty nice though.

Toews is awesome. Been my favorite card this year. Good all around plays better than his rating. Slowly losing his impact with higher overalls. But still Can't believe more people don't have him

Ya I agree with everything u said in the video. Especially the stuff about 99. I just got him yesterday and I ended up playing maybe 4-6 games with him and he’s got somewhere around 15-20 goals. I don’t really think he’s much of a passer with me. More of a shooter, and what’s nuts about that is his shot feels almost automatic. It’s reminding me of the Next Gen Bedard card with gold make it snappy and silver unstoppable force activated on it. Truly a weapon!

Im d4 right now, but I will win the championship one day 😈I don't care if it takes me ten years. So I prep like it, and between these videos and coffee and chel I'll get to gwc eventually. I spend money on the game, but after watching all these videos the 200 bucks Ive spent has gotten me so far ahead vs previous years that I actually get to practice getting better. I used to spend 2k a year on this game, and this channel over the years has lowered that to 200. I respect FTP players a lot, but paying to play doesn't equal pay to win lmao. Hurts getting smoked by a guy using silver players, but the best player usually wins.

McDavid will get a TOTY card. He will likely be a 90 overall card when the TOTY event is out, if it’s like last year, he will be a 92 overall. Meaning you will need to upgrade his xf via power ups, then make the amount of TOTY collectibles to trade him in. Sets will be out and it’ll tell u you will need xf McDavo at whatever overall it is, and that you’ll need x amount of TOTY collectibles along with the powered up xf to trade in for that TOTY card. Huge devils fan so I’ve had a jack hughes card on my first line RW since release. I’ve been upgrading every time he gets a boost but found myself always going back to the 86 with unstoppable force. So if you buy a higher rated version and dont find success, spend the 25k getting his 86 overall and test him out with UF. You might be happier with that card and save yourself 200k

I cant say I had the some problem of going up and down overalls, but when he was under 87 overall I had Prototype 85 Heisher at Center and Hughes on his wing (Jack is now Line One center) so I can totally relate.

I have no problem with slowing down progression…but then maybe they should expand the starting range of players so that there is a greater difference between them. There’s no good reason that the NHL stars’ base cards should be so high. Expand the lower end, in other words. Also, I’d love to see reasons to take lower rated cards in my lineup. For instance, I don’t get why the TOTW cards or similar ones which are unusuable don’t have extra synergies. Sure, those cards might not be great, but they make other cards better then, and then I’d be willing to take them. This goes especially given how even now it’s nearly impossible to activate certain synergies.

Ray Bourque not heing on the list is a crime. He's absolutely better Lidstrom and Lowe/Leech. He plays like a slightly slower Orr that can actually hit, and all of his abilities are great

until another player gets gold quick pick i don't see how any other defender is better than lidstrom, i try as hard as i can not to control him cause the ai will 100% steal any pass in his direction, there is no better defensive card out there and its not even close right now.
