At current you can only set your respite to an abeyance realm. While you can place a cairn in any realm, it will only let you set your respite in an abeyance. I believe it states as much in the options of the cairn when you interact with the manage respite option.

When chopping trees, make a circle pattern around it, dont stand and keep chopping till your through it. Also, your follower will typically (at this time) chop/mine quicker then you.

That would have to be a forest realm for sure. Id stick to the forest abeyance realm to make things easier.

The one I currently have is quite... boring.. I tried to insert the same cards but it just spawns me at my own realm (which kinda makes sense)

swamp is easy, you just jump everywhere, you can be in the poison water infinitely as long as you keep jumping.

You can have a NPC companion and no PVP unfortunately.

Only 1 NPC at a time but you can have up to 5 mates play with you and they can all have 1 NPC as we.

​@@diogonz7777I think if you disband your npc while at ur estate, they stay at your estate. . . if u disband while out in another realm, I think they return to the original place you found them (which is an issue if you closed the portal).

I thought the same thing but honestly with the procedurally generated worlds/ realms makes it difficult to just specify a singular "best location" when it entirely depends on where YOU spawn. He's essentially giving some details you wouldn't know that you might want to know if you're feeling lost on where to go for what you need and so on. Basically just enabling people who are watching to be better informed on where to make the best base for what you'd want to do or prioritize while playing.

I thought it was a good vid, didn’t really feel like the info was too unnecessary. He explains things with the assumption that the viewer doesn’t know anything about the game, I found it to be extremely helpful in making my decision as to whether or not this game is what I’m looking for. He’s not annoying like so many other content creators, doesn’t come across as though he’s trying too hard to be entertaining. This was super helpful to me
