Nice nightstands. I like the ones with a support at the ends so things don’t slide off those sloped ends! Rectangular are the best for a good amount of surface area. Two drawers are a must. It’s easier to pull out a drawer from your bed than reaching into an bottom open space. Make sure those drawers glide smoothly. Nice work again here Julie!!! 🥰Happy Independence Day🇺🇸 !!

I always love the pictures you illustrate your videos with. One thing though, I always think about poison arrows so much since I started watching your channel, so much so that, not only do I see them in certain pictures in this video, but the other night I woke up and my husband was asleep next to me on his back with his hands under his head so that his elbow was pointing right at me, and I thought "This is a poison arrow!" -- He's very tall and lean so the arrow was extra sharp :😂😭

Once again, sooo timely for me! I literally was just thinking today of finding someone to strip my two drawer dark nightstands, and making them a whitewashed oak color! They have two deep curved drawers, with a different wood grain from the frame. At present, they are directly on the floor, but I realized that I was attracted to the nightstands you showed, that had legs. My bedroom is very small, so the ones with legs to open up the space, is appealing for me. As that is so easily fixed, if I get them refinished to a lighter stain, I’ll be able to reuse! There were so many of these nightstands that appealed to me. I’m looking into one of the smaller ones, for my living room end tables. The ones I have now, from a previous location, are overpowering in my new space!

Thank you for this list! My primary bedroom is set up for a California King with symmetrical windows on each side of where the large bed would end. We use a queen, so it becomes an awkward space, i.e. do the nightstands go under the windows (and are too far from the bed) or do I put the nightstands next to the bed and they are halfway under the windows. Add to that, an HVAC register is right where one of the nightstands would go. The design at 2 minutes with the wraparound divider might be a solution, will have to look for something like that. Thank you!

The nightstands center around the bed, no matter what’s going on on the wall behind it. That is how you “design” a space. By building the focal point regardless of the room’s conditions and challenges 😊

Hi Julie, Did you create a video for displaying pictures of relatives that have passed on? I was looking to get your advice on this issue and Feng Shui. I see many many differing opinions on this. Some FS experts say never display photos of relatives or friends that have passed as it introduces bad energy into your house. Others say you can place photos in southern wall or north facing wall so faces are looking south and frame with gold. I have lost quite a few family members that were very important to me to either old age or suicide. I had there pictures all together in one place in the house as their smiles made me feel like they were with me again. But I did notice health issues started developing for me and took them all down and stored in the garage. I miss their faces when I pass that area in the house. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.

I did- it’s called “how to display sentimental items” I don’t typically place images of deceased loved ones in common areas, unless grouped on a shrine. Personally, I prefer photos in private areas and hallways, not the living room or dining room where I entertain and host

Measure the height of the mattress when it’s not adjusting and specify a nightstand/ dresser with that same height. This will reduce the spacing/ measurement for your reach
