Chad, thank you for taking a few minutes to talk with me. It meant a lot. I was the old (oldest) guy at the park. I realized when I was there that I’ve been spending too much time on my longboard (nothing against it), and not enough time at the parks. The longboard is easier on my body but it’s not the same satisfaction I get from my 8.5. Time to shake off the rust. Thank you again!

People will be building that obstacle all over the country now. Congrats on the work going into your skatepark. Big win. Stay Rad, Sir

Chad!!! 40 year old dude here, haven't skated in over 15 years... Your skate across America and this channel finally made me break, I got a board yesterday and skated for 4 hours. It hurts different now hahahahah Just want to say thank you. I'm going back out again today.... Thank you for reminding me where I come from 🙌❤️

I have a couple questions for the local expert. 1) Does the long side have a little bit of transition? It kinda looks like it has some but could also just be warping. An angle finder app put the angle of the long side at about 40 deg. Are the short sides the same or a bit steeper?
@mutatedgenome10 күн бұрын
@@hansonlife9465 It may have a bit of curvature do to it's age but it feels like a bank vs transition.

It's definitely snowed out up here in Virginia, had to watch this video to cure the itch. That little obstacle looked like a lot of fun! Now I need to go find a snow free spot.... Safe Travels!

I feel like you have way more knowledge about knee injuries so you probably already tried this but if not … when I was about 40 my right knee would get sore from driving and I started using a compression style knee brace (more like a sleeve) when I was making a long drive. Between that and icing it I found it helped. Regardless, love what you’re doing!

It would be really interesting to see someone do a video about the process of skatepark building and the cost involved, the crews, their work ethic and designs and the process of trying to under bid the other guys who don’t even build skateparks but want to over charge cities and get the job cause it’s their family member who runs the operation. Seriously some janky stuff going on that’s corrupt and inside jobs that get lame parks built. Kind of an expose’ that might take multiple episodes but people really need to know how all these parks deal with issues along the way. As a matter of fact our north shore oahu park had a massive crew of protesters in hat denied the lame city crew that was trying to build a crappy park and we won!
