Years ago (mid 90s)I was on my way to work at around 5am, turned onto 131 south, made it about a mile and was met with a whole crap load of headlights. At first I thought that I had jumped on the the north bound instead of the south because I was so sleepy, but it ended up being some drug dealer that thought going north on the the southbound lanes, along with 15 HP cars was a good idea. No injuries or damages, but holy smoking puppy poop, it scared the crap right out of me.

The Special Police Cars have Special protection infront of the Car and most Important Special Suspension and 800Hp or more. Even a Farrari is not able to Escape maybe a view Yards until then two more Police Cars are Helping to Stop the Driver. The Funny thing is,once the Driver is Stoped most say,What did i do Wrong So Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so damn sad about the teens in the light blue Santa Fe. These are the things that teens especially don't think of - they are invincible and don't think serious injury or worse will ever be the outcome of these chases, but they are and it is tragic.

do you not think having a "Grappler Police Bumper system" would be safer and easier to stop fleeing cars and save money on repairs to your squad car...

Oh absolutely. But, the Grappler has limitations. It can only be used safely at speeds under 40, needs a heavier vehicle like a Tahoe and officers need to be certified in using it. It's also very expensive. Now, I live in the state where it was first used, where the owner who developed the Grappler lives and those were the limitations back then. The limitations could very well be different these days.

@@easternhops the big issue is you have to be under 40 MPH and these chases are never under 40 MPH the issues have and always be it its hard to stop a vehicle safely there are a lot of tools to stop cars you just cant use them like the spike strips the shred the tires instantly they don't use them because you shred the tires on a car at 80 MPH it is 100% going out of control or the strips the are designed to wrap around the wheels and get tangled under the car

@@easternhops the actual issue is costs the grappler is a very expensive system and many had the bright idea to take funding from them grappler is out of uestion for most police stations.

The BMW chase is a tough one... I'm sad innocent bystanders had to be crashed into because of the PIT (the minivan and jeep). :(

Why do some of these cops decide to perform a PIT maneuver when surrounded by motorists? Are they just trying to kill some innocent people? I just don't get it. I thought they were trained much better than that. This is serious shit. SMH

@@rocwater10 some states do others don't that's why you see a lot of certain states over others plus ease of getting the footage if i recall the science of when to chase and not to chase is inconclusive the worst is chase people till they get dangerous once the crooks figure out that there is a level and the cops back off they will go straight to that level
