I love this attitude pretty much more than anything, when you are serious about something but don't take things seriously. When you really love something and are into it, you know there's a funny side to things and you're allowed to laugh, but at no single point to you accept any tolerate of that which you love. The 'Abbath hill' on Metaldays (where he took that famous tumble, also he managed to lock himself in the toilet on some of earliest editions of festival and there was a little drama to get him out :o)) is gone now. They're building a bypass road over it and destroying one of the most beautiful enviroments in the process. Such a shame. It should be a national monument and UNESCO location. I was just gonna say something to the same effect....I had a good friend, Native American party animal buddy ( RIP Jon ) that was a spitting image of Abbath, both physically & literally in his mannerisms.Right down to the gibberish, that most other folks would be like "what the hell is that guy talking about ....!?" My grandfather was a Nisqually native and he was just like Abbath. Even at 95 he was always just a goofball. Had to have a sound effect for everything he was describing. “Hmph I’m a grumpy guy today…” he would say stone faced as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a flask with a wry grin. Love that Abbath doesn’t take everything so serious like everyone in the scene.
