great to hear that and hope that philippines start to be proud of what they have. what a great divesite diversity they have. Now when I was diving in mediterranean I can tell you ... underwater its just dead rock there. Nothing, no life, no colors ... fishery is a history now.

I just came form there yesterday and it was amazing!!! i seen everything that was in your video and i love it. I have a punch that is for an iphone and i just wanted to try recording under water and its a lot of fun. BUT!!! please be careful when you are recording and WATCH YOUR AIR!!! DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!! AT 7:00 this can happen if you are not careful. Dive safe and keep underwater life beautiful! It was my first time recording and if it wasn't for my computer ill lose track of time and air plus Depth. Love Anilao Diving its Awesome!!!

Anilao, a two-hour drive from Manila, is a “hotbed of evolution.” Walls explode with anthias, and every inch is covered in beautiful substrate. Mimic octopuses, ghost pipefish, flamboyant cuttlefish and more inhabit this area. There are four marine sanctuaries teeming with fish.

Diving in Anilao was very special to me. This beautiful underwater world is now disappearing in front of our eyes which noticeable all around the world. Knowing that Anialo has some of the last surviving specimens of species that will soon be extinct made me feel so hopeless.

Do you regulary go scuba diving in Philippines? If so, where do you think the best place is?

Hi there ... I had just one 3-month biz trip to manila two years ago.... and thats it. I guess the most famous spots are Tubbataha and APO reef. If you stay in manila, then you can easily go to anilao for weekends. However, theres much more to discover, just use google. The best diving in SE asia, as far as I heard, is Sipadan and Palau. Unfortunately, we also witnessed a young philipino girl being drowned while diving with another group. That day got got very emotional for me and for the first time, I was diving on my own on the house reef and suddenly I found this crooss in memory of people who lost their lives while diving. It all got very emotinal and I will remember Anilao forever. Thats also why I chose the music ...

adobe premiere CS6 ... and theres a stack of effects on each clip: try eqalize, auto color, curves, 3D color correction, saturation, sharpen. check out www.creativecow.net/ for tutorials however, if theres poor light in the scene (like in this video) you can hardly improve anything

You are getting too close to the fish. I can see how they are stressed by that. I'm sorry I can't enjoy watching Nemo fish bites a diver. Fish need their space. It's important for us divers to respect their needs if we actually want to see them not only today but also tomorrow.

Thanks for your comment ... yes I have to admit that this is true :-( I really was poking that squid on purpose, to give an example. Yet, compared to many other divers I have seen, I was considering myself to be one of the most respectful to the underwater environment. You taught me a lesson today and I will keep this on my mind. I am glad that there are people that take environment protection so seriously like you.

SEA - AIR - LAND That's Ok. I am not that saint myself. I probably did some foolish stuff too couple of times in the past. I guess the important thing is that you understand what I meant. I think 1 meter distance is essential for the fish to feel secure enough. Popular dive sites are being visited on daily basis with tens of divers. We can try to do the little damage ourselves. Have fun on your next dives :)
