I like that trail although I have never been on MTB. I will soon. Waiting on my SC Tallboy.

Thanks for the great videos on Black Mountains trails! I grew up in PQ just down the street from Black Mountain and have never been able to ride the trails. Have my first full suspension hopefully coming in this month and would love to hit the trails with you to learn them at some point! Keep up the great work man.

It's a good time. Were you able to find that jump line at Otay Lakes? I haven't been out to look for it yet.

@@MTBTrailReview hi Chris, I went out on Thursday after work but ran out of light. I will try tomorrow morning.

Nice results by filming this in the morning with back-lighting. Too often when I ride it in the afternoon it is more front lit and not good for video. I really don't care for how they've been loading more and more pavers for a large section of the trail. I prefer natural rock features. It's like they are trying to make it into a Snow Summit-style bike park.
@MTBTrailReview4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The original plan was to build a flow trail, but it seems too have morphed into something else. I definitely prefer dirt to pavers, but I'll take it.

This looks pretty gnarly 🤯

It is. But it's the fun kind of gnarly!

There is a new offshoot at the end of black widow. Not great but has a cool wooden drop
@MTBTrailReview4 жыл бұрын
Nice! I'll have to check it out. Where do you pull off the main trail?
@DustOrBustMTB4 жыл бұрын
@@MTBTrailReview it’s at the very end the last 100 feet. If you go up backwards you see it easily. If you are going down the trail it’s on the right side.

I've seen a bunch of videos on this trail and it looks amazing. Can't wait to get good enough to feel comfortable given it a go. Little out of my level for now.

It's really fun, but the whole area is definitely challenging. It's also the type of ride that makes you a better rider. When you feel ready to tackle some techy black lines, this is a great spot.

Can't wait to ride black widow, it is great that they allow you to avoid the extreme gnar by giving alternatives. Miners also looks good for my type of riding. Also rain in San Diego, don't make me laugh, simply does not happen.

Black widow irritates me because of the small climbs you have to deal with that slow you down.
@MTBTrailReview4 жыл бұрын
I get that. It's definitely not a flow trail, but I think it's fun if you go in knowing that it's more technical and not fully downhill.
@nofluxgiven19494 жыл бұрын
@@MTBTrailReview Definitely a great trail and I appreciate all of the hard work people put into it! Now if we can just keep hikers from climbing it.
