Great to see a brand already establishing a distinct look, after only two watches. And good to see them assembling in the UK. If you are also in the UK, I'm sure that will mean even more to you. Not 100% convinced by the unisex thing though. I hope they find enough people who enjoy this one! Cheers, Jody

It's not just this microbrand, but I'm having a hard time with $ 500-600 USD being the new normal. I've slowed down in my collecting and becoming more methodical with my purchases. Watches in this price range are no longer impulse buys, and when they inevitably sell out, I lose interest.

I've owned a couple of the Geckota watches from the Brits. As far as this watch, it would look small on my 8 inch wrist. I do like the color of that teal one though. Would've liked to have seen you swap straps. That mesh on the teal and I think the brown strap on the salmon may have been a better match? Anyway, great review as usual Jody!

I too am proud to be British and always willing to fly the flag for British watches. This one is really nice too very much like the design language and the fact it’s a no date which keeps thing clean. 37mm is an unusual size but looks like it wears well on your 7” wrist Jody. I think the only problem I have is the price at £400 it’s up against some heavy competition is the form of other micro brands and some mainstream ones, Seiko’s and the like. However I wish them the very best 🇬🇧

I like the overall design and think the salmon dial is a winner. The simple logo reflected in the lollypop major indices and between the O and F in Beaucroft is just elegant. Give me a 41mm salmon dial on a 20mm mesh, and I'm a buyer!

I have several 37mm watches already so a good size for me. In teal it's a nice dial, handset and crystal. Not so keen on the case or crown. Without a date it's not going to be a daily so it doesn't need to be an auto getting rid of the rotor wobble.

It’s a very attractive watch! Particularly fond of the unusual turns they took with the case design. British watch makers have a lot to offer the world of watchmaking with respect to design, so I hope these guys are successful. The tiny crown is a head-scratcher though. Design is usually an iterative process. Surely someone at their shop gave it a couple twists and thought, “well that’s unpleasant, what if we changed that?” Thanks for another fantastic video!

This is a weird one. The design is too different, but at the same time, it looks like a cheap fashion watch. The case scalloping is unusual, but there's a reason we don't see it on other watches, it just looks odd, throws off the proportions of the case sides. The very short lugs with the large dial are out of proportion as well. And the indices are horribly misaligned in their recesses in the stepped portion of the dial. I assume these are prototypes, but that is just unacceptable. The double branding is weird too. Just get a Nomos Club Campus if you're after a fun graduation watch.

@@hootonhootI actually enjoy the "wobble". I truly consider that a feature. I have a handful of watches with 802x movements and I smile every time I feel or hear the "whir-whir-whir-zip"! It is a pleasant reminder that this is very good 1970s technology AND that it is purely mechanical and there is _not_ a computer on my wrist. I can actually know the time without the internet, and that is a good thing. Also, the 802x is not a dog because it is robust and reliable. (By the way, I also have never experienced the "stutter.")
